How can we trust the accuray of the data being presented? Without trust in the data then everything else becomes meaningless.

That's the problem with online voting, so far they don't have any answers for that. Opinions.

The "You Cut Vote" paragraph says to watch Eric Cantor on "You Cute page." Don't you mean "You Cut" page?

This is a good idea however my faith in any government program including[ you cut ] is at best skeptical,

Cut out all political contributions, it's all graft and both parties are just fronts for wealthy banks and corporations. Our system is broken and won't get fixed until we change the way people are elected and how long they can stay in office. If you want to cut govt. start by cutting all congressmen and senators salaries to $100/K per year and no more pensions for these guys!

Let's get rid of government paid healthcare. . . . . .given to politicians who don't believe the government's role in healthcare is appropriate.

Repeal Bush giveaways to pharmaceutical industry – that gov’t cannot negotiate on its drug purchases. Cut the military spending in half. Repeal corporate welfare when these companies move out of US and take jobs w/ them.

Here's the big problem with the latest GOP ploy to persuade the American people that they actually listen to them.

1. If people vote and Republicans do what they promised, which is to take the program with the most votes, and try to force an up or down vote to cut it. They would be cutting a program based on the opinion of under-informed people's choices. I guess if people vote, and they cut the program, and then we regret it, they can "blame the people." After all, "It was the people who voted."

2. It offers five choices. Five? And one of them has to be voted on. Feels like they're "controlling information," doesn't it?

3. It doesn't give people an opportunity to vote for programs they'd like to KEEP.

I know when I take my kid out for ice cream, and we go to Baskin Robbins (31 flavors), he really wants to be able to choose from all of them. Imagine if I said, "Well, boy, you've got two choices….chocolate or vanilla." Shock would ensue. "But, dad, I want mint chocolate chip!" "Sorry, son…but Eric Cantor would prefer to "control" the choices you have.

I belive the all our congressmen and senators as well as the president have forgotten who they work for and why they choose to be elected into their seats. Their salary and benefits should be $1.00 a year and nothing more – they have taken so much from all of us already and they wanted to work for the better of this country. I know that when I wanted to do something for the USA I did it without anyone's help and I will continue to do so. I suggest immediately that their retirement be eliminated – why should we take care of these elected officials and their families – whose taking care of us?

I agree. When did it become the job of the American people to support politicians. The jobs of the politician is to represent the people.Somewhere along the line power has become the guiding light of Washington politicians.

We have hundreds of military bases across the country.Anyone that has been in the military knows that stateside duty is mundane. Why not move these bases to the borders of our country to protect our borders and give the military something to do when we are not at war.It says in the constitution that the governmets responsibility to protect our borders. We have the answer all someone has to do is move our bases.

Make Congress more responsive to the wishes of the people by allowing the voters to vote their approval of congress every 2 years when they vote for their local congressperson. If, on a nationwide basis, congress receives less than a 50.1% approval then the most senior 20% of the members of both houses would immediately be discharged with no retirement or other benefits. They would be replaced with the person they defeated in the last election, or a governor appointee.

How about we curtail or even eliminate most foreign-aid, especially to countries that don`t particularly like us very much!

Why aren’t these results used as part of the Nov. campaign; e.g.: Congressman x voted against (ratio) cuts voted upon by the American public? Then enumerate proposed cuts that were voted against by Congresman x.

How about creating jobs to investigate all those who are welfare frauds and ssi frauds. If we could eliminate all those living off the system illegally we could save millions.
