Have you checked your Facebook email lately? Probably not. This is the reason why Facebook announced today that it will be removing Facebook email accounts. Don’t worry, your Facebook email will forward to your primary email address.
“We’re making this change because most people haven’t been using their Facebook e-mail address, and we can focus on improving our mobile messaging experience for everyone,” Facebook said in a statement.
This comes at a good time, after they purchased WhatsApp a messaging service for 19 billion dollars. They knew their email service was a flop and may be able to catch users with the app instead of email.
