If you don't have anyone to use it with than of course its not 'cool'. But I sent out some invites and once I got more people on the system I started really liking it. You mentioned that we are busy with a lot and one of which is email. But according to the google wave team, wave is supposed to be the next generation of email. And frankly, I really hope so!! :) I'm a very visual person and am almost reluctant to check my email. But with wave, its so much more visual based that its really easy and nice to communicate with people (I especially use it to talk and share ideas with my business partner).
