I called around 1pm today (thursday) to see why my order kept saying Not shipped yet, Lady on phone said i'll get it on friday for sure and even offered to change my address so it ships to my job which i did. About an hour later my order gets canceled because i work for a freight forwarder and they don't ship to freight forwarders. I called them back around 3pm and complained that they didn't have to cancel the order but could of called me to ship it to my home instead, I got screwed and tried to see if i could go to the nearest apple store after work on friday (tomorrow) to see if i get lucky when Apple calls me back around 3:45pm and said it was a mistake that my order got canceled and if i wish to continue with the same order and have it shipped to my job, Of course i said yes and was surprised that they even called me back on this issue. I now have a tracking number and will receive the ipad at work before 3 pm by fedex coming out of PA. What an eventfull day of apple drama lol. Atleast i know it was shipped finally.

Finally got my FedEx tracking # for arriving by 10:30am and got a free wireless keyboard and belkin grip vue cover since Apple messed up and cancelled my order a couple of weeks ago due to a glitch in there system thinking that if more than 2 ipad's are ordered for an apartment building (with same address but different apartment #'s)! Thanks Apple for taking care of me!

Ordered mine 21 April. At the time of order the website stated "shipping late april". Amid the shipping cost fracas – apparently Apple took down the expidite shipping option as it was not available as an option at the time of my purchase. Funny thing though – my receipt (and status) say "shipping by May 7". ARRRG. Looks like I won't get it Friday, and didn't have the option to express ship. /disapointing

mine is shipping today.. to be arriving before 3pm tomorrow via Fedex. Im tracking it on fedex and my touch fedex app.

Apple has used both UPS and FedEx for various launches. 3Gs was UPS, iPad Wi-Fi was FedEx. So, don't be surprised when you hear these are arriving via UPS.

I preordered April 15th and mine still says "Not Yet Shipped". I called Apple earlier today and of course i got the same run around that i'll get it for sure on Friday. I won't feel better until i see something changed on my order status though. I also pray that they use UPS as he comes around 5pm and Fedex way too early, not too mention they wont redeliver on saturdays. I hate fedex big time…there pick up facility is even far as hell in another city. I pray the status changes when i wake up in the morning. btw Miami, Fl here.

OK…OK….OK I made a call also. Apple Girl assured me I would have my Ipad 3g Friday, April 30. Update to my shipping would come tonight and the carrier and delivery confirmation # will be revealed then. Will need a signer to get it, so I guess I will pull up a chair to the front door and read my Kindle until it arrives! Ain't life great!!!!

My status hovers at "prepared to ship". I live where birds use GPS to nest. If it gets here Friday it will have to be by one of those birds. UPS and FedEx only deliveries every other Tuesday on odd months. :)
I am still living with my order number in holding and trying to figunre what "prepared to ship" means. This has been a fun day at the circus.

Yeah, anyone know, I thought it was Fedex… UPS comes by around 5pm, Fedex around noon, or before in my neck of the woods.

I saw and spoke to my UPS delivery driver today (I know him pretty well). He said they are at the holding facility waiting to be delivered Friday!!! He joked that there were security guards.

It should arrive on the 30th. Your order status should change to shipped today (the 28th) and be shipped via FedEx two day. Which means it'll arrive on the 30th as promised. That's what seems to be going on anyway.

I just got off the phone with apple, (I know I know..) and they told me that my iPad shows that it will be delivered Friday the 30th and that the shipping details should update by tomorrow.

Ordered mine on the 4th of this month.. Still says "Not yet shipped" but I'm assuming since I got the email a couple weeks ago " You will still get it by the promised 'Late April' " that I will still get it by Friday! Apple, don't let me down!

I've had the exact same experience. Ordered maybe an hour after they started accepting pre-orders, have had a hold on my card twice, the second one just dropping off this morning. Still no update on order status. Wonder what that means? I'm very tempted to cancel the pre-order before the status changes and just to wait in line…

I ordered my iPad 3G April 10th and have yet to see my order status update. I have had the funds go on hold on my bank account twice since April 10th and the secound time has now dropped off since it was never finalized from apple and the funs are now available to me again. I hope mine updates today as this is driving me crazy!

Having ordered on March 12 (early to beat the rush) gets me the privalage of getting my ipad 3g later. I thought we that pre-ordered would have our Ipad by April 30, not "shipped" on April 30. What the hell , it still feels like Christmas. I haven't had this much anticipation since Santa brought me my first Playboy Bunny :) I will be waiting in teh drive for my FedEx man to arrive. Cheers!!!!
