Android will be the most prolific smartphone OS in the world. It will have taken the place of Microsoft's strategy of having its OS on as many vendors smartphones as possible.

Fortunately, it's nothing for Apple to worry about because Google won't be making a penny from all that market share and the revenue for vendors will be split up over a dozen or so companies.
