At the same time, alot of people put alot of work into those pages … only to see it wiped out by facebook. So they shouldve done alot more press releases and notice posting, discouraging fan pages etc., from engaging in the practice in the first place.

Rather than allowing it to go on and then smacking down the people who put effort into it. As a general rule I dont like big corporations and entities anyway … only interest I have in facebook is as a marketing platform. Dont use it personally. Think facebook is like google, or the other internet gaints ( gaints in any industry/sector ) … they seem to think they’re too big to fail … and have a way of treating people, like they can treat them however they want.
