100th South African Golf Tournament Off to a very wet start

The 100th edition of the European Tour and Sunshine Tour Tournament started today at the Durban Country Club in South Africa.  Only six players completed nine holes and only one-half of the field even made it onto the course.  When play was suspended due to rain there were five players at 2 under, Retief Goosen, Thorbjorn Olesen, David Drysdale, Divan van den Heever and Martin Martiz. 

Gary Todd, the tournament director said that they now have the goal of completing two full rounds or 36 holes by Saturday.  The field must complete at least 36 holes to constitute a tournament.
