San Francisco 49ers lose to the San Diego Chargers 7 to 34

This game was billed as a good match up and the Chargers were favored going into this game.  However, this was clearly a lopsided game.  The 49ers were behind 17-0 at half time.  The big story tonight was the Chargers defense they had 6 sacks and 12 hurries on San Francisco’s quarterback, Alex Smith.  Also the Chargers defense shows why they rank first in fewest yards allowed and fewest passing yards allowed per game.  This win keeps the Chargers (8-6) in the hunt for the AFC West and all but ensures some post season play.  Despite the loss the 49ers (5-9) still have a chance to see the post season, however, they will need a great deal of help.
