Rumors are spreading fast on the web that Twitter pulled the trigger and just bought Tweet Deck – a Twitter application – for a reported $40 million to perhaps as much as $50 million dollars.
Tweet Deck is one of the most popular applications for the Twitter. The app allows you to split Twitter streams into multiple columns for easier digestion of tweet streams.
When questioned about the rumored purchase of Tweet Deck, Twitter said the following: “We don’t comment on rumors. We don’t provide off-the-record background on rumors. We don’t wink twice or release puffs of smoke abt rumors.”
