Hi Daniel - I just got your message, but I'm unsure how to make a call to Australia. Anyway, you no longer need to use Yahoo Pipes. RSS Graffiti has just updated their application to accamodate Twitter to Facebook Fan Pages.

I did a video "how to" on how to set this up - it's now super easy to do - visit the link below:

.

Thanks again, and let me know if that helped!

RSS Graffiti has completed their update and it is awesome! You no longer need to deal with Yahoo Pipes!

Check out the video I just put together showing you how automatically send your Twitter updates to your Facebook Fan Page using RSS Graffiti - you can now use your Twitter generated RSS Feed, and with RSS Graffiti, you can strip the username from the front of the update, and include or exclude retweets and @ replies.

Click here to watch a screencast video >>

Or watch the YouTube version below (the screencast is higher quality):

I was able to add the feed to Grafiti, I could make 1 status update, the next I did hasn't been submitted to Facebook, pobably depending on the high error rate and the "flooding" pipes do on Grafiti?

Hi Ruth - and thank you for your comments!

The problem you are having is not because of something you've done. If you followed my steps perfectly, then you've done everything right.

The problem is that Yahoo Pipes has not "white listed" RSS Graffiti. Which means, RSS Graffiti, after a certain number of requests per day, gets shut down by Yahoo Pipes. This has been a major problem for everyone up to this point, and very big point of confusion.

So the problem is that Yahoo Pipes might not be the most viable option for sending your Twitter updates to your Facebook Fan Page.

I've since written a much simpler process that uses your actual Twitter RSS feed and RSS Graffiti.

You can read it here >> .

Thank you again for contacting me, and I hope that helps!

Hi Dimitris - thank you so much for joining our conversation here and bringing up an update straight from RSS Graffiti. Because Facebook doesn't provide a simple application for us to send Twitter updates to Facebook Fan Pages, we have to find innovative, and sometime choppy, ways to make it happen.

Your suggestion of just entering your Twitter RSS feed is a great alternatively to sending Twitter updates to your Facebook Fan Page.

The only trade off with that method is that you will have to deal with your Twitter username publishing at the front of your Twitter update on your Facebook Fan Page.

My whole method of leveraging Yahoo Pipes was to tweek the Twitter RSS feed and remove the username completely from the feed - so you just get your Twitter update hitting your Facebook Fan Page. And this was at the requests of readers both here at Social Media SEO and from within the Facebook help forums, that they want their usernames to not appear at the beginning of their tweets.

The second reason my method utilizes Yahoo Pipes is because people wanted to have a Twitter feed that did not include retweets and @ replies, which Yahoo Pipes configuration can achieve quite easily.

Anyway, thanks again Dimitris for visiting and adding your insight.

The people from your help forum might also like to join our conversation here as well - since I'm quite sure people there are also looking for ways to modify the basic Twitter RSS feed configuration and also how to send tweets automatically to their Facebook Fan Pages.

Thanks again...

Hello everyone,

I am one of the developers of RSSGraffiti the facebook application mentioned earlier in this discussion. Let me start by thanking Robert for recommending us as part of the solution for automating the publishing of your tweets to Facebook. It is rewarding to see that your hard work is appreciated and recommended. We intend to have our users' experiences as our best advertisement, and posts like the one Robert made here, show that we are - at least - getting there...

Regarding the issue you all seem to face lately let me just quote Yannis from our page on Facebook:

Turns out that RSS Graffiti makes too many calls to Yahoo Pipes which exceeds their limits. Yahoo! Pipes answers only to a specific number of requests per minute from any given host.

We are in a process of applying to Yahoo! Pipes for witelisting of RSS Graffiti. We will let you know how things develop with this issue.

The current status is that we have already applied for the white listing from Friday. We started having this issue since the release of 1.8.5 beta. The increased performance of our engine resulted in us hitting the maximum requests limit of yahoo pipes.

We are waiting for a response from yahoo, and in the meanwhile we are thinking of ways to bypass the problem until it is permanently fixed.

So stay one click away and read regularly our announcements to be kept up to date.

Besides that , I'd like to point out that RSS Graffiti is already white listed by Twitter. So if you simply put your tweeter feed url on RSSGraffiti your tweets will be published without trouble. Without the customizations that Robert is suggesting though.
On the other hand, since one of our goals is to be able to effectively and adequately cover the needs of those who want to publish their tweets on Facebook, we would like to invite you to share all of these ideas and requests about how tweeter feeds should be handled, on our on-line community at .

We wish to make RSS Graffiti a complete solution capable of being a one stop shop for you Facebook Tweeter integration and in that process your feedback is valuable.

I'd like to thank you all for trying our application and for your valuable feedback, and especially Robert once again.

Hi - and thanks for posting your URL - I tested your URL in my RSS Graffiti and it worked fine in the preview screen.

Perhaps try deleting your existing feed and adding a new one in RSS Graffiti - basically starting over fresh.

Just click "Add New"

Let me know how it goes..

Hi Daniel - I tried viewing your Yahoo Pipes feed in RSS Graffiti and got the same error you were talking about. I'm thinking that the disconnect might be in the construction of your Yahoo Pipe.

I am not on Skype, but let's connect on the phone to walk through this - you can reach me directly at 706-363-0335 (Google Voice) - thanks again...

It is not normal for RSS Graffiti to get an error - I'm thinking the error might be with the URL of your Yahoo Pipes feed. If you could, post your Yahoo Pipes feed URL here so that I can take a look at it and see what might be the problem.

Thanks so much!
