Hey KB, that was the same issue I was having. The ‘like’ workaround doesn’t work for new posts, and those are very important. Not replying to a fan on our page seems rude to that fan, but checking our page over and over was costing us too much time.

I tried several of the fan page notification systems available, but I was not happy with the frequency and reliability of anything I tried.

I felt like receiving notifications was something I had to have for my business (whether Facebook decided to allow them or not), so I decided to create my own notification system – The Fan Page Monitor.

Hi, I have already click " LIKE " on my all post and photos, but the problem is I can not receive a notification when someone who doesn't friend with me comment on it.
I Just receive notifications if he/she was my friend.

The bigger issue with updates for me is knowing when someone has posted a new message to my pages' walls. I keep missing messages for the non-profit I administer a page for. Is there any work around covering this yet?

Hi Tiffany – I think that you have to be the one who "likes" something in order for you to receive a notification. So whoever "like'ed" the comment will be the one who actually receives the notification.

Oh… I am not recieving the notificaiton that someone clicked "liked" on my fan page post or pic when I am actually signed in to FB on my laptop… thought this might help. BTW, your other advice is very useful!

I have known how to get notifications on my fan page for quite some time. However, I noticed I am no longer recieving the notification that someone else has clicked "like" on a post or pic on my fan page when I use to get a notification. I have checked every setting I can think of… my setting to recieving notification when someone likes my post/pic is checked. I am only getting notifications if someone comments now when I use to get notifications of comments and likes after I clicked the like option on each post and pic. Can you recommend anything to fix this?

I followed the instructions in your article, but it's not working for me. I am the admin, and I have "liked" my post both as the admin, AND through my personal profile. I have it set up for both text messaging AND email, and I'm not being notified either through my admin email address or my personal profile email. Yes, I have the Notifications turned on for both of the Links check boxes.

Hi – thanks for commenting! If you are the admin on your Facebook Fan Page, whenever you post something, it will always show as the fan page posting – there is no way to get your update to show as your personal Facebook profile other than removing yourself as an admin.

However, when you remove yourself as an admin, you immediately remove the broadcast capabilities to all of your fans on your page.

Once you "like" a post, you'll receive an email notification whenever someone comments below your "like" (or thumbs up) – it doesn't matter if you are an admin on a page or not.

When I comment on a fan page as an administrator, my personal profile does not show up. It's as if the fan page is commenting. Is there a way to change that and will that cause me the same issues if I "like" a post?
