It’s still not certain whether the potential ban will apply to the WeChat app only in the United States. Or, if it will result in the removal of the WeChat app from all iPhones across the globe.

The owner of WeChat said he believes that the ban will be applied only in the U.S. However, is still looking for clarity in this matter. A WeChat ban in the United States could potentially cause a minor drop in sales. But, a WeChat ban in China would be catastrophic for Apple.

The majority of Chinese ‌iPhone‌ users feel their devices will be basically useless without the WeChat app. So, it is the most common type of communication in their country via iPhone.

Also, Wechat is not just a messaging app. It is also one of the main digital payment systems that Chinese people use. Most of the personal transactions in China are done via WeChat.

Chinese people will not be able to do business properly without WeChat. In the worst-case scenario, Apple’s yearly global iPhone shipments could decline by 25–30% if it is forced to remove WeChat from its App Stores around the world.

There have been rumors that Apple has lowered its targets for the iPhone 12 shipments. However, according to Chinese media reports, Apple suppliers have not received these kinds of notifications.

According to the latest news, three Chinese iPhone supply chain companies have stated: ”Apple has not lowered its iPhone 12 shipping target guidelines”.

Nor have they received news that Apple has lowered its iPhone 12 shipping target.

If the ban really does get implemented and Apple doesn’t have a clear solution to this problem. Chinese customers may start buying phones from other companies, such as Huawei.

Can iPhone 12 use WeChat?

With all of the rumors about the WeChat ban, it is still uncertain whether the iPhone 12 will be able to use this app. If the ban truly gets implemented then the new series of iPhones won’t legally be allowed to run this app. And, it will apply to all of the next model’s Apple releases.

Did iPhone ban Fortnite from its App Store, leaving thousands of players without their favorite game? The conflict started after a Fortnite latest update. It let players buy in-game currency at a lower rate if they bought directly from maker Epic Games.

How they said in Apple – this was a violation of App Store terms and conditions.  

Those who have already downloaded Fortnite on iOS are still able to access the game. You can still play Season 3, but your opponents will be limited to fellow Apple players.

However, new downloads are not available as a result of Apple banning the game from the App Store. 

Did iPhone ban Fortnite and Why?

Apple is facing popular criticism these days over how it manages the App Store and its mandatory fees. When you make in-app purchases from an iOS app, Apple takes a 30% cut.

Apple simply says is justified by the service it provides. Apple’s contracts prohibit trying to break the rules.

However, Epic tried to challenge the rule. Epic encouraged iOS players to buy the game’s digital currency, known as V-Bucks, directly from Epic. Obviously, it was against Apple’s in-app purchase system rules.

To make it look even better, Epic offered a discount to those who bought V-Bucks directly. Consumers may have viewed it as a loyalty bonus. On the other side, Apple saw it as a gross violation of its contract with Epic. 

What about Android?

Epic implemented its payment system in the Android version of Fortnite as well. Google took similar action and removed the game from the Play Store.

However, Android users are still able to download Fortnite using Epic’s app launcher. Unfortunately, on iOS, the App Store is the only way to legitimately load apps.

Did iPhone ban Fortnite? Why is this such a big deal?

It seems that this isn’t just a conflict between Epic and Apple. The entire foundation of the app economy is at stake. Epic isn’t the only company to fight with Apple.

The problem is that Apple holds an anti-competitive and unlawful monopoly that actively harms app and game developers and consumers. 

Is there any chance that Apple will allow back Fortnite?

In a statement, Apple has said that it plans to work with Epic to “resolve these violations”.

So, Fortnite may be allowed back into the App Store if and when it follows the store’s terms and conditions.

The shocking decision of UEFA resulted in anger and fury for the Manchester City fans.

However, in all honesty, this ban might not be that much unexpected at all.

Sources report that not only did Manchester City break the rules of financial fair-play that UEFA has established, but also tried to cover the evidence by manipulating the books for increasing the money earned by sponsors.

It seems that this is what triggered such a measure from UEFA as we will wait for the result of the conversation between the two sides.

Recent Market Activities of Manchester City

As we all know, it isn’t so unusual of Manchester City to make a multi-million deal with the player since from 2008 and purchase of the club by Sheikh Mansour, there were numerous cases of such trades.

Manchester City has started the tradition of buying extremely expensive players for the team, which was still ongoing during the last few transfer windows.

Namely, it is known that Sheikh’s investment in the club made huge expenses to the Sheikh, although the value of Manchester City as a club has significantly grown.

Overall, the rule set by UEFA to minimize the difference between regular football clubs, and those with wealthy owners requires each club that is competing in UEFA-supported competitions to respect it and follow the rule.

In the eyes of the UEFA, Manchester City has failed to accomplish that goal.

Will the Suspension Persist?

We can only guess how this situation will resolve since Manchester City’s general director has already stated that the club will not stand still while UEFA is doing its best to suspend it form European Competitions.

Thy club will use the first possible opportunity to ask for a foreign body inspection of the papers, while the club officials state that there was no such a thing as accounts and reports manipulation and breaking of the financial fair-play.

Not participating in the Champions League for two years would certainly bring more expenses than profit, so it is reasonable to think that the club will react. One thing is for sure, the club has mobilized its legal team to strike back and fight its way out from the suspension.
