Last night, a one point loss to the Chicago Bulls 87 – 86, was the Heat’s fourth loss in a row. A streak that is tough for the leaders of the team to take.

LeBron James decided it was time to talk about his Twitter update that he sent to the Cleveland Cavaliers after getting routed by the Los Angeles Lakers the other night.

In case you missed it, LeBron James sent out a Twitter update to the Cleveland Cavaliers the other night after the Cavs got beat the Los Angeles Lakers 112-57.

Here’s what LeBron sent out via Twitter the other night:

Crazy. Karma is a b****.. Gets you everytime. Its not good to wish bad on anybody. God sees everything!

And then finally, last night LeBron was asked about his Twitter update to the Cavs and here’s what he said:

“It was just how I was feeling at the time,” he said. Yet he added in the same breath, “It wasn’t even a comment from me. It was someone who sent it to me and I sent it out.”

“No hit toward that organization. I’ve moved on. Hopefully that organization has continued to move on. But I’m happy where I am as a Miami Heat player.”

Perhaps LeBron James is showing his true colors here with a Twitter update he sent out last night to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

His message, in my opinion, showed how LeBron clearly lacks the leadership necessary to lead a team to the NBA Finals, let alone to a championship.

Here’s what LeBron James sent out last night via Twitter after the Cleveland Cavaliers lost 112-57 to the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center:

Again, LeBron is a superstar with the entire world watching him, and now the Miami Heat looking to him to be the leader they need to win an NBA championship.

But with actions like that, in my opinion of course, it’s an example of why an NBA championship is unlikely to happen – at least with LeBron as the leader.

Hollywood comedians wasted no time whatsoever to take advantage of LeBron James’ The Decision. LeBron James went on ESPN last Saturday night with a 1 hour special program to announce his decision as to where he would call home next year in the NBA. LeBron donated all of sponsor revenue from the program to his Boys and Girls Club of America charity.

Steve Carell and Paul Rudd put together a hilarious parody of The Decision that you’ve just gotta watch if you want a good laugh. Steve Carell is a funny guy, and he brought that humor to his own version of The Decision.

Savannah Brinson is in the news today because she accompanied LeBron James to New York City for Carmelo Anthony’s wedding. The wedding was a star studded event held in Manhattan, and there were no shortage of people standing by to get a glimpse of everyone in attendance.

When LeBron James showed up with is high school sweetheart, and still girlfriend, Savannah Brinson, the crowd started to boo LeBron.

Obviously, the New York fan base was not happy about his decision to go the Miami Heat.

Anyway, Savannah Brinson is LeBron James’ girlfriend. They have reportedly been together since LeBron was in high school.

Today, Savannah Brinson accompanied LeBron out of the Miami heat and headed to New York.

Although this year’s free agency has been dominated by LeBron James and The Decision, there was another free agent that easily captured the attention of every team GM and owner – and his name is Derek Fisher.

Derek Fisher was courted most prominently by the Miami Heat. On Saturday morning, Fisher met with team president Pat Riley and team owner and was asked to join the stacked roster of Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, and LeBron James – Fisher was even reportedly offered the starting point guard position.

But at the end of the day, there was only one person who had more influence than all the money and all the power, and that was teammate Kobe Bryant.

Derek Fisher signed with the LA Lakers for another 3 year contract and along with Kobe Bryant, is now on a quest to obtain his 6th NBA Championship ring.

The financial terms for the 3 year contract have not yet been disclosed.

Rumors are spreading that the affair between LeBron James’ mom and Delonte West is one of the main reasons why LeBron James did not chose the New York Knicks.

ESPN host Colin Cowherd said on his radio show today that Gloria James has been involved in a potentially embarrassing situation; a situation that Cowherd claims the New York Post was set to report on before being ‘begged’ not to by representatives of LeBron.

Cowherd said that he was prohibited by his network, ESPN, from discussing the specifics of the situation. He said only that New York Post writers had staked out Gloria James’ house and presumably had embarrassing information concerning her. Cowherd’s take on it was that James realized that living life in the big city fishbowl that is New York City would have created too much of a risk of embarrassment for him and his mother, with whom he is very close. Cleveland media, on the other hand, is much more protective of its local athletes.

Although during Lebron’s 1 hour show last night, he made a great argument that the only reason he chose the Miami Heat as his home team is because he wants to win a championship.

His exact quote was, “the only reason we are in this business is to win championships.”

And above and beyond money, rumors, affairs, and anything else that people are talking about, I’m convinced that LeBron simply wants to win the coveted NBA Championship ring – multiple rings if possible. And right now, the Miami Heat gives him the best opportunity to make that happen.

The decision is final – LeBron James will be heading to South Beach to become a member of the Miami Heat. Lebron will join NBA all stars Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in an effort to finally make it to the NBA finals and come away with a championship ring.

With Lebron joining the Miami Heat, he obviously had to turn down all the other teams that were pursuing him. The New York Knicks were ready to offer Lebron the most money; the Cleveland Cavaliers were also ready to give Lebron the max salary cap that the NBA will allow.

Obviously, LeBron is after an NBA championship and money is not the main driving force.

As LeBron said during his one hour show on ESPN, if he was interested in money he would have gone with some other team. Miami gives LeBron James the best chance to win a championship, so now Lebron heads to South Beach!

There are new rumors hitting the web that are stating that multiple sources are confirming that LeBron James will in fact be heading to Miami.  Fanhouse.com writer is reporting that these rumors are building, and that multiple sources are also confirming LeBron James is heading to Miami.

If LeBron James did go to Miami, then he would be joining forces with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. This would be the most concentrated force of NBA super stars that the NBA has seen in quite sometime.

We will find out tonight for sure during the 1 hour ESPN session that is being called “The Decision” – starts at 9pm EST tonight on ESPN.

We are now less than 24 hours away from LeBron James announcing where he will sign to play basketball. The ESPN special, held tomorrow night at 9pm EST, is going to be held in Greenwich, Connecticut at the Boys and Girls Club of America.

Greenwich, Conn. just so happens to the location of a training camp for the New York Knicks.

I can’t help but believe that this one factor is enough to solidify that LeBron James will be signing with the New York Knicks.

To hold a press conference in Greenwich, Connecticut and not sign with the Knicks would, in my opinion, be an insult to every other team in the NBA – most of all the Knicks themselves.

While the world waits for LeBron James to make his decision on where he will sign, there are two players that have closed the book on their free agency decisions.

Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade are going to play for Miami Heat.

Both Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade were free agents this year. And after Dwayne Wade made several times with the Miami Heat ownership, he decided to stay where he is in Miami. He will also be joined by Chris Bosh, making the Miami Heat a formidable contender for an NBA Championship run.

The stage is supposedly set for LeBron James to hold his 1 hour ESPN show from Greenwich, Connecticut. ESPN Radio has confirmed that the network has booked the Boys and Girls Club in Greenwich, Connecticut from 7-10pm Thursday night.

Also, LeBron James is expected to fly to Greenwich, Conn. shortly for his sit down interview with ESPN, according to sources close to James.

Ironically, the New York Knicks training facility is located in Greenwich, Conn. So you put the pieces together, just off that info, and I think you can safely conclude that LeBron James will be playing for the Knicks.

Also, Phoenix Suns forward Jared Dudley sent out a tweet from his Twitter profile about 3 hours ago that reads:

“Breaking News!!! My sources tell me Lebron will announce that he will be goin to the NY KNICKS tomorrow on ESPN.. This is serious.. WOW!!!!

News is breaking from ESPN that LeBron James will air a 1 hour special exclusively on ESPN this coming Thursday @ 9pm EST at which time he will announce his decision as to what team he will be signing be.

The news broke as representatives from the LeBron James camp contacted ESPN requesting this 1 hour interview / special program, and have promised ESPN that LeBron James will make his announcement during this 1 hour program.

ESPN is also reporting that the sponsorship and proceeds from this 1 hour program will all go to the Boys and Girls Club of America.

It was only about 7 hours ago, or so, that LeBron James finally made a decision. But the decision wasn’t about what NBA team he would sign with. The decision he made was to launch a new Twitter profile.

What’s cool about the profile is that LeBron only made one post so far, but already he is approaching 200,000 followers.

Not bad – 200,000 followers on Twitter in less than 10 hours.

A lot of people will more than likely be following him as the world awaits to hear his decision on what NBA team he will finally chose. Most people are betting on the New York Knicks. We should know definitively by the end of this week.

The New York Knicks just signed Amare Stoudemire to a max-out contract of 5 years, $100 million dollars. Amare Stoudemire is definitely the best forward, and the best player now, on the New York Knicks team. However, who will the point guard be that feeds Stoudemire the ball down the court?

Perhaps Dwayne Wade would be the perfect point guard for the New York Knicks and Amare Stoudemire.

So what about LeBron James?

Just because the New York Knicks signed Amare Stoudemire, does this mean that LeBron James is a lock in for coming to New York?

This is a raging debate now, and most people are starting to fare on the side of yes – LeBron James will join the New York Knicks.

“LeBron James is coming back, and Lee is going to Washington,” he said, according to a pool report from the event.

James, a native of nearby Akron, Ohio, is testing the free-agent waters this off-season and fielding offers from several teams, including the Miami Heat, the New York Knicks and President Obama’s favored Chicago Bulls. But even the president, perhaps with an eye on the Buckeye State’s critical electoral votes, said in an interview that he’d like to see James remain with the Cavs.

“He’s from Ohio. That’s a town that has had some tough times. For him to say, I’m going to make a commitment to this city, you know, I think would be a wonderful thing,” he told Larry King.

Halstead Makes Its Own Pitch to LeBron James

If it isn’t enough that Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg is on a screen in Times Square beseeching the N.B.A. All-Star LeBron James to forsake his Ohio roots for the Big Apple, Halstead Property has now joined the campaign to lure Mr. James to New York.

In a video posted on a Web site Halstead created that is called EveryKingNeedsACastle.com, Halstead says it will help Mr. James — known as King James to his fans — find a home in New York and offers to donate Halstead’s commission to his favorite charity. Mr. James, who has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers since graduating from high school in Akron, Ohio, becomes a free agent on Thursday. Hence, the big sell. The New York Knicks, after all, haven’t reached the playoffs since 2004.

It is being reported on ESPN.com that LeBron James would “100% endorse” Tom Izzo as the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

As the debate continues around where LeBron James will end up playing, he is not the only controversy brewing in Cleveland. The search for a new head coach continues for the Cleveland Cavaliers. And no one seems to be more of an interest to the Cavs as the ever so popular head coach at Michigan State – Tom Izzo.

But Tom Izzo is a college basketball coach, not a coach in the NBA. And to some people, this became a sticking point of debate over whether or not LeBron James would be willing to play for a coach who has zero NBA experience.

According to ESPN, “there was a pertinent development Sunday night in the Izzo saga, when the Cleveland Plain-Dealer reported on its website that LeBron James would not oppose Izzo’s hiring after it was previously reported that James prefers to play for a coach who has played in the NBA. The Plain Dealer, quoting what it termed a “high-level source,” said James would “100 percent” endorse Izzo’s hiring.”

So is LeBron James’ endorsement of Tom Izzo as the head coach of Cleveland imply that LeBron might just stay at Cleveland and renew his contract?

This is something I’ve been wondering ever since the Cleveland Cavaliers went down in flames to the Boston Celtics during the playoffs. The rumors about Gloria James, Lebron James’ mother, and Delonte West having an affair broke during the series with the Boston Celtics. And it seemed to me that once the rumors of the Gloria James and Delonte West affair broke out, the chemistry with the Cavaliers on the court and specifically with Lebron James himself, really seemed to break apart.

If I were Lebron James, I’m not quite sure how I’d react to news about my mother having an affair with one of my teammates. I would have to say though, that with as much money that Lebron James is getting payed, you’d think that even with the distraction, he would be able to push through for his team.

If Lebron James did lose it and break down mentally due to the affair rumors, then I’m also having to question the maturity of Lebron James.

Granted, Gloria James and Delonte West are both adults. So really, if they were seeing each other, then at the end of the day, what does it matter to Lebron anyway. Sure it would be a bit ackward, but losing your focus and causing your team to lose in the playoffs?

So even if Lebron James was affected mentally over the affair rumors between his mother Gloria James and teammate Delonte West, should Lebron completely shut down and throw away any chance Cleveland had whatsoever at beating the Boston Celtics?

Again, I’m only asking the question here – was Lebron James affected by what was happening between Gloria James and Delonte West?

And if Lebron James was affected by the situation, do you think Lebron actually just gave up and let playoff series come to close?

2010 NBA Draft Order, 2010 NBA Draft Lottery Finalizes the Order

After the 2010 NBA Draft Lottery last night, the 2010 NBA Draft order has been established. And of course, surrounding the 2010 NBA Draft is the discussion as to where will LeBron James go? The biggest story line of the 2010 NBA Draft follwing Lebron James is that he will be heading to the New York Knicks. No matter where Lebron goes during the 2010 NBA Draft, I’m sure it will be for a ridiculous amount of money!

The Washington Wizards get the first pick in the 2010 NBA Draft order followed by the Philadelphia 76’ers and coming in third is the New Jersey Nets.

The remaining 2010 NBA Draft order will follow the 2009 – 2010 NBA regular season record. This is where the NBA Draft gets interesting as a number of trades will start to emerge across the NBA teams.

Already, a number a draft picks have been traded even prior to the 2010 NBA Draft Lottery that took place last night. And those trades that have already been made are accounted for in the 2010 NBA first round draft order below:

I wrote an article on Saturday (I believe it was) and I entitled the article Lebron James attacks mom over Delonte West affair rumors.

The photo that I used was the one where Lebron James was being held back by some Boston Celtic players from his mom – Gloria James. But the photo happened to be taken in 2008 when Gloria James was upset over a hard foul on Lebron from Boston players.

The problem is I used that photo as the image for my article, and portrayed the image to be as if it was Lebron James trying to attack his mother Gloria over the Delonte West rumors.

I mean the image fit to a tee – and I really didn’t know any better or any different.

The image made me think it was actually related to the Gloria James and Delonte West affair rumors because:

1)  The news about the affair broke while Lebron and Cleveland were playing the Boston Celtics in their playoff series.

2)  The rumor involved Gloria James – Lebron’s mother (who was in the image with Lebron and the Boston Celtic’s players.

So I saw the image and assumed (incorrectly) that this was Lebtron trying to attack his mother over the Delonte West rumors.

I made some people pretty upset with that article – so to everyone I offended, “I’m sorry!”

It was a bad mistake on my part – bad “journalism”.

The Internet has gone crazy over the Gloria James (Lebron James’ mother) and the rumored affair with Lebron’s teammate Delonte West. The news broke during the Cavs and the Celtics series, and some people have even attributed the Cavs losing that series to the distraction of the affair.

So now with these rumors flying around about the Gloria James and Delonte West affair, people are now getting very interested in see what Gloria James actually looks like.

Delonte West sleep with LeBron’s Mother Gloria James is the hot issue today. In what is truly a disturbing story, comes exclusive Terez Owens news that LeBron’s teammate Delonte West is sleeping with LeBron’s Mother Gloria James. The news claims that Delonte has been banging Gloria James for quite some time now.  The report also claims that perhaps Lebron found out this relationship before game four and it perhaps destroyed their team’s chemistry and divided their team.

One source that I Cannot say the name said ”My uncle is the general contractor at the Q and has been for the last 7 years. He’s good friends with a lot of guys at the Q, including some of the bigger boys in the organization and knows Dan Gilbert personally.My uncle has been told that Delonte has been banging Gloria James (Lebron’s Mom) for some time now. Somehow Lebron found out before game four and it destroyed their chemistry and divided the team. I am not making this up, I wish it wasn’t true but it happened. .”

There are reliable reasons to believe it.   To some it may appear crazy.  But it was Terez  Owens that first broke the story of Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian’s first breakup.  Moreover, the sudden drop in performance of LeBron supports the whole story.

2010 NBA Playoff Bracket Predictions (Video)

It is that time of the year again!

I can’t believe that the NBA playoffs are already upon us. It feels like it was just last week when I was watching LeBron James score an amazing last second shot against the Orlando – unfortunately, Orlando went on to play in the NBA finals.

So here we are in 2010, and NBA playoff brackets are established.

With Duke fresh off the NCAA National Championship, it is now time to turn our attention the NBA Playoffs.

NBA Playoff Schedule Announcement

The 2010 NBA Playoff schedule and dates are set to be announced on April 14th (this coming Wednesday).

The first round of the 2010 NBA Playoffs will start on the weekend of Saturday, April 17 and Sunday, April 18 in an ultimate best of seven series to name the 2010 NBA national champions.

Criticism over 7 game NBA playoff series

There has been much speculation over the past few years about how the playoff games should not be 7 game series each.

A lot of criticism has come to the NBA over each of the playoff games running a 7 game series.

Most of the criticism has been angled toward to the belief that the playoffs should be shorter series – perhaps a 3 or even 5 game series.

Nonetheless, it’s an exciting time for basketball fans as the teams start to pick each other off, and knock each other out of the race for the NBA Championship title.

Lebron James free agency

One of the most exciting upcoming stories in the off-season will be centered around LeBron James of the Clevenland Cavaliers.

LeBron will be a free agent and the question still stands – will he stay in Cleveland or move on to bigger city lights like New York?

The rap and hip-hop world is coming unglued right now with the soon to be released Dr. Dre “Under Pressure” track that will also be featuring Jay-Z.

Dr. Dre’s Under Pressure song will be his first release from the long-anticipated third Dr. Dre solo album “Detox” scheduled for a release sometime in 2010.

Dr. Dre attended the game opener in Fenway Park in Boston for the Boston Red Sox game and gave an interview to talk about his upcoming track and the new album.

Dr. Dre also sat with Lebron James in a private viewing box during the Red Sox game and was even taking some batting practice swings with the Red Sox wearing a jersey that said “808” on the back. Along with the busy-ness of the day, Dr. Dre was also promoting his new “Beats by Dre” headphones which were done up with a Red Sox logo theme.  Dre says they’re the “best-sounding headphones hands down.”

Answer: they both made the mistake of thinking they can keep information “silent” in today’s information age!

LeBron made this mistake when he thought that he could keep a video leaking of Xavier’s Jordan Crawford dunking on him at some basketball camp (see video below).

Apple made the exact same mistake by thinking they could “silence” a family over an exploding iPod.

What’s the lesson here?

Remember that in today’s day of instantly information, videos, photos, Twitter, etc… that nothing is sacred.  If people are determined to get information up on the web, there is literally nothing that can’t stop it.

I mean, look at the Iran election debacle.  As hard as the Iranian government tried to silence the people and cut off web access, the more we saw Twitter and Facebook lighting up with up to the minute information.

If Apple and LeBron James just let the matters go and didn’t make such a big deal about it, these matters would not have become as talked about as they are now. But when you purposely try to conceal something, it only grows bigger by the moment (gee, sounds like a lesson for my kids!)
