As we all know, both of these teams are in the best shape, and it is not that easy to tell who will prevail. However, we can all agree that the show will be spectacular this year Super Bowl 2020 time.

And, the opening ceremony will be spectacular as always. Therefore, it’s a good time to remember a true legend of NFL’s Hall of Fame members who passed away recently – Chis Doleman.

Hard Rock Stadium – Miami Gardens

This year’s game will start at Hard Rock Stadium right in the Miami Gardens. Surely, this is probably the most suitable place for a Super Bowl as it clearly offers a lot. This stadium opened in 1987 and since then it was the place where magic meets skill.

Anyway, this stadium was the place for five different Super Bowls and now it takes the place for the sixth as well. Namely, you can see that this stadium was really the best place for these two teams to meet.

Who will prevail? Well, let take a closer look.

San Francisco’s best – 49ers

Now, we can all agree that 49ers are the team with the best defense throughout the whole season. Simply put, their old-school approach with the run-first tactics will definitely be something to watch.

On the other hand, we have a very skilled team of 49ers, which certainly earned their place in the finals. Also, their passion to take the Lombardi Trophy home is quite high as they will all be motivated today.

Kansas City Chiefs

It is not an easy thing to do, but winning a Super Bowl 2020 time is definitely rewarding. Now, the well-known team of Kansas City Chiefs will tonight put a show with their outstanding offense.

Therefore, we are set for a game of strong offense versus even stronger defense. Who will win? Who will prevail?

That’s not an easy thing to say.

However, it’s always easy to sit back and relax and watch the game. This way, you will certainly be enjoying some high-quality football.

As we can all see, everyone is expressing their condolences and kind words over this tragic loss. The Vikings and the Pro Football Hall of Fame expressed their condolences as well. They both said in separate statements that Doleman’s death occurred on Tuesday night.

Many will miss him

Since Chris Doleman earned his spot in the hall of fame, he was supposed to be on every single Super Bowl as an observer. However, we all know that he couldn’t attend the 52^nd Super Bowl in Minnesota, which is actually quite saddening. The surgery stopped him to come and cheer for his favorite team.

However, even though cancer diagnosis and surgery stopped him to attend many events, he showed at Canton. The Hall of Fame induction ceremony that was held at Canton was enriched with the presence of this superstar. We can all agree that no one could stop him from presenting himself in the best possible light.

Also, his former teammate was there as well, Randy Moss. They both spent some quality time together and remembered their days on the field.

Chris Doleman’s career was full of ups and downs. However, we can all agree that he made it through thick and thin and earn his spot in the Hall of Fame as one of the best NFL players that ever lived. Therefore, his starting team, the Vikings, was exactly the place where he retired back in 1999.

One thing is certain, Chris Doleman was a great athlete and even better sportsman. Therefore, a president of Hall of Fame, David Baker said that witnessing his career is truly something special.

“The legacy of Chris Doleman will live forever in Canton, Ohio, for generations to learn from how he lived a life of courage and character”

This loss is truly tragic, especially after what happened not so long ago with the Kobe Bryant.

Right now in the fourth quarter it’s 36 to 8 and the Seattle Seahawks are ahead.

What does “omaha” mean, when Peyton Manning is at the line?

One of the trending topics this week is, why does Peyton Manning yell “omaha” before he snaps the ball?  Well, it’s common for Quarterbacks in the NFL to use this technique. He’s basically letting his players know when the ball will be snapped based on yelling “omaha”.  So, in the huddle he will say, first sound after “omaha” or something similar.  He’ll yell “omaha” “omaha”.  Sometimes he’ll snap it right after he says it and sometimes it’s a trick sot he defense doesn’t guess the snap count.  This helps him draw the defense offsides, which he has been very successful with.  Sometimes he’ll call omaha and it doesn’t mean anything, which he probably mentions in the huddle.

Update:  There also may be another reason for this.  Peyton won’t tell us the exact details, however he said, “omaha” can mean it’s a run play or a pass play, depending on what is called.  So after he reads the defense he switches by yelling “omaha” if he doesn’t like the defensive layout or pass coverage.  There can be many ways to use a call like this.  Tom Brady used the call a while ago and switched to “alpha”.

When I first saw this video shared around the internet, I knew I had to see it.  I wasn’t disappointed.  I can’t believe how this guy made it past all of the critics and doubters, he didn’t listen to them.  Seahawks fullback Derrick Coleman is the first deaf offensive player to ever play in the NFL.

Gisele, wife of NFL quarterback Tom Brady, posted a picture of her breastfeeding to her instagram account.  The picture shows her sitting relaxed in a chair with a white robe while getting her nails and hair done.  The post is captioned:

“What would I do without this beauty squad after the 15 hours flying and only 3 hours of sleep #multitasking#gettingready.”

The picture has already started social media buzz, some are probably disgusted by this, but I don’t thin it’s that big of a deal.  It’s not like it’s too revealing.

The Riley Cooper racial slur has become a talk of the town especially in the sports industry. Riley publicly apologized for his behavior not once but many times and through different media. He also apologized on Twitter and also said that he was disgusted at his behavior. He expected the people to sympathize his mistake and said that he was extremely sorry and that he is not such a person as has been depicted by the incident. In the meanwhile, the Eagles have fined him for his behavior and have regretted his behavior.

Football is a game where people from different places and races mix together to make the team worthy for win. In such a place, a player like Riley Cooper may have an adverse image now with this incident. It may happen that his fellow team mates may have differences with him and ultimately Eagles might suffer. It will be interesting to see how the new coach of the Philadelphia Eagles Chip Kelly handles this new found crisis in his team. Football is game of the lively and the spirited ones and this Riley Cooper racial slur on the security guard has just caused a spot on the game, which needs to be washed soon else the game shall suffer.

If you haven’t been living under a shell and somewhat follow sports (or don’t follow them at all), I’m sure you’ve heard of Tim Tebow, the quarterback from the Denver Broncos.  Hes a very religious person who is always praising God and the opportunities that he experiences because of him.  Tim Tevow defies what the NFL quarterback prototype is and has always been.  Everyone doubted him even when he was the first round draft pick this year, only because he was known for running rather than passing.  He racked up more yards in college running the ball than many running backs had in a college career.  He also set a bunch of records for passing, although everyone doubted that he would make it in the NFL as a passer, because rarely do you see a consistent passing quarterback that was a runner in college.   Tim Tebow took over for the starting quarterback and had a 6 game winning streak.

Of course, the media exploded with fans and haters. What would you expect?  The media and haters found exploits which really are not bad at all.  He has a signature pose where he kneels on the ground and prays to God before, during, and after a game.  This pose was named “Tebowing” (similar to the planking phenomenon) by people everywhere and pictures started to pop up of people posing and “Tebowing”.  What’s most interesting is the fact that Tim does not pay attention to any of the media and really doesn’t care that he shows his strong religious beliefs, and either do I.  When a player talks trash to him he just smiles and talks or compliments them like nothing happened.  And the funny part is, he really means his sincere words when he compliments them.  For example, Brian Urlacher, the famous linebacker of the Bears, was asked what he thought of Tim and he said, “he’s a good running back”, which would be taken as a complete insult to any other NFL quarterback.  Not Tebow though, he said he was honored to have kind words from such a prestigious linebacker.

Before this Tim Tebow Saturday Night Live Skit, as I mentioned, he was on a winning streak.  They were playing the Patriots and Tom Brady, one of the best quarterbacks ever in my opinion.  So there was even more controversy and media frenzy over this matchup.  The Broncos ended up losing and shortly after this Tim Tebow SNL Spoof Video came out.

I almost can’t believe what I’m writing here.  The Detroit Lions absolutely man handled the New England Patriots last night in Ford Field in Detroit.

The Patriots looked like the old, crippled grandpa who struggled to make it from the recliner to the kitchen.

And the Lions looked like the young, hungry team of NFL football players that were ready to make their mark in NFL history.

“We have a lot of work to do. We’ve been saying it and now you see it,’’ Deion Branch said.

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick expanded on that saying, “there’s no question who the better team was,’’ he said. “Obviously, I did a poor job making the team ready to play. We didn’t do anything very well, in any phase of the game . . . There’s no one area that should be highlighted more than any other.’’

The Patriots offense struggled from the beginning protecting Tom Brady, and things got worse after starting right guard Dan Connolly left with an ankle injury and Rich Ohrnberger was inserted who was absolutely man handled by the Detroit’s defensive line.

You wouldn’t think this was a pre-season game with a majority of the starters for both teams playing well into the third quarter.

Belichick had many of his starters play the majority of this pre-season game, which is unusual for the Patriot’s head coach.

Matthew Stafford, Detroit’s starting quarterback, finished the game going 12 of 14 for 200 yards and two touchdowns which is impressive against the Patriots and even moreso compared to Tom Brady’s 12 of 22 attempts for 145 yards, with a touchdown and an interception.

Check this out – remember the NFC Championship last year pitting the Chicago Bears again the Green Bay Packers playing in Soldiers Field?  I know, I know… we all know how it turned out.  But just in case you were a Bear’s fan and you still harbor some bitterness from the outcome, you may be getting your chance at some redemption on August 9th.

EA Sports announced today that Madden NFL 12 will be coming August 9th with a demo arriving on Xbox Live and PSN.  The Madden NFL 12 demo will give you a 20-minute, four-quarter recreation of the Packers vs the Bears.

The Dallas Cowboys had a bit of a scare on Sunday – and no, it wasn’t the fact they got blown out by the Green Bay Packers… that’s not anything new (doh!!!). No, on Sunday, something else was amuck within the Dallas Cowboys organization. Their website – DallasCowboys.com – had expired. This means, they forgot to renew their domain. And actually the domain was reportedly available for purchase until early Tuesday morning. So after a bit of scrambling, the Cowboys organization got it together and renewed their domain for $9.99 per year. And this time, they set up their domain to renew automatically so as to avoid this potential disaster in the future.

Twitter announced today that “Twitter for Google TV” will come pre-installed on all Google TV’s. Twitter said that tweets aren’t just about TV shows, they are part of them. And this is true… take a look at the trending topics on any given Sunday for example. Nearly all of the trending topics are related to the NFL games being played. This is also true of the players that are playing on Sunday. For example, when Reggie Bush broke his leg, he and the event dominated Twitter’s trending list. This seems like a perfect platform for Twitter to venture into since TV plays such a huge role in determining what people are tweeting about.

Blount was making an aggressive run to the end zone when, for a second time during practice, his helmet got ripped off his head.

As Blount was walking back, he bumped into Titan’s defensive end Eric Bakhtiari, pushed Bakhtiari who then pushed Blount back, and then Blount popped him right in the facemask.

Is this a cheap shot, and something that deserves some recourse from the NFL?

Not according to Tennessee Titans’ head coach Jeff Fischer.

James Wilder Jr has made one college extremely happy today, while making another college very disappointed. The happy college is FSU (Florida State University), the disappointed one is UGA (University of Georgia). So James Wilder Jr said he decided 3 days that FSU would be his school of choice, primarily because of the high caliber NFL running backs  that the coaches produce. But today at his press conference in Tampa, Florida, James Wilder Jr showed up in “red and black”, which is traditionally Georgia colors. That had everyone thinking that Georgia was his choice. But at the end of the day, FSU wins out.

Apparently, when rookies show up in the NFL locker rooms, there is a price to be paid for… well… being new.

Tim Tebow is no exception to this rule as you can see by his new haircut.

According to PopCrunch, Teammate LenDale White tweeted this picture of Tebow’s new haircut which seems to have given him a literal halo to go along with his figurative one. This goes a little above and beyond carrying veterans shoulder pads I’d say, but I guess good for Tebow for working hard to fit in.

Brett Favre Retires

This is perhaps the story line that will dominate the NFL this season, and definitely at least for the the pre-season. Today marks the first day that the mainstream media is – once again – picking up the Brett Favre retires story line, and guess what… we still don’t know exactly what Brett Favre is going to do. In fact, we probably just need to not speculate whatsoever until game day hits and then, maybe, we can see if Bret Favre is in uniform or not.

By now, some people might be wondering if Chad Ochocinco is an NFL football wide receiver or a Hollywood celebrity. After his first reality TV show this season in Dancing With The Stars, Chad Ochocinco has apparently not had enough of the bright lights.

Tonight on VH1, his new reality TV show called “Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch” debuted with a 90 minute episode.

This new reality TV show has Chad trying to chose a date. The show started out with 85 women (ocho-cinco), and gets narrowed down from there.

Regardless of his ambitions for reality TV, I would think that someone in the Bengals organization is going to have some issues with all of the extra curricular activities of Chad Ochocinco.

JaMarcus Russell, the former Oakland Raiders number 1 draft pick in the 2007 NFL draft, was arrested today in Mobile, Alabama and charged with possession of a drug called codeine syrup.

Codeine syrup is a controlled substance and requires a subscription for users to have possession. A sheriff’s spokeswoman released a statement today stating that JaMarcus Russell, 24, was arrested today at his home in Mobile, Alabama during an undercover investigation.

JaMarcus Russell was booked into the Mobile jail and then later released on a $2500 bond.

What is codeine syrup?

Codeine syrup is a controlled substance used for medicine, but is also sold in the black market because you get high from it. You can legally have it if you have a prescription, but it seems JaMarcus Russell didn’t have one!

This of course does not bode well for ol’ JaMarcus Russell.

The NFL will be coming down hard on Russell obviously with fines, but also possible suspensions.

It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds this week.

Miles Austin Update – Miles Austin Signs $3.2 Mil Dallas Cowboys Contract

Wow – this one was a close call for Miles Austin. With only four days remaining before the Dallas Cowboys started cutting their contract offers by 110% of last year’s salary (yeah, that’s a lot of money for some players), Miles Austin went ahead and signed his contract tender with the Dallas Cowboys, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Austin Miles is one of Dallas Cowboys’ Pro Bowl wide receivers, and his contract that he just signed guarantees Miles an estimated $3.2 million to play in Dallas this season.

The Cowboys could still work out a long-term contract with Austin. Team owner Jerry Jones said earlier in the off season that such a deal was a priority, according to the USA Today.

In other Austin Miles news, apparently Kim Kardashian has caught the eye of the 25 year old Dallas Cowboys’ receiver.

According to the NYDailyNews.com, more than two months since ending her three-year relationship with New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush, the sexy reality star has reportedly found love with another NFL hunk: Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin.

“They met at a restaurant in L.A. a few months ago and exchanged numbers and have been talking ever since,” a friend of the couple told People.com. “They’ve had a few dates and it’s going really well.”

Vince Young Attack Video – Vince Young Fight in Dallas Club

Vince Young has found his way directly to the top of the news headlines. Vince Young has been issued a Class C assault citation in Dallas from a fight he was in at a Dallas night club last night (Sunday, June 14th). According to local Dallas news sites, Vince Young was the “prime suspect” in a fight that left the other guy with “bodily injuries”.

The AP reports that no arrests are planned.

The fight broke out at a Dallas strip club early Sunday morning after someone at the club flashed a disrespectful sign at Vince Young that was taken as a direct insult of his (Vince Young’s) alma mater – The University of Texas.

Vince Young’s future at Tennessee

It is believed that Vince Young will want to leave Tennessee if he does not return as the starting quarterback for the Tennessee Titans. The incident of this Vince Young fight will certainly bring some form of a punishment from the NFL directly. Exactly what that will be is yet to be seen.

Wednesday morning seems to always be filled with anticipation on the web to find out who got voted off Dancing with the Stars? And you might actually be shocked by the results, but it was Chad Ochocinco and Dancing with the Stars partner, Cheryl Burke and failed to make it to the finals.

But with Chad and Cheryl now gone, that leaves the Dancing with the Stars finalists as Evan Lysacek, Erin Andrews, and Nicole Scherzinger.

It didn’t take very long for the announcement to come that Evan and Anna are the first couple to make it to next week’s Dancing with the Stars final. Brooke Burke, a Dancing with the Stars judge, made the announcement very early in the show.

Lawrence Taylor’s Wife, Lynette Taylor, Believes ‘LT’ Was Setup

Lynette Taylor, the wife of NFL great and former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Lawrence Taylor, canceled her appearance on “Larry King Live” Thursday night — but King conveyed what he said were her thoughts about rape charges against her husband.

She describes the events as one big “setup”, according to TMZ.

As for why she suspects a setup, Lynette claims that the timing of the arrest is suspicious because it came just days after LT was featured on an A&E documentary called “Fame and Recovery” which she believes “made him out to be a monster.”

King said Taylor’s wife canceled the appearance 25 minutes before the show went on the air. He said Lynette Taylor told him, however, that she has complete faith in her husband and believes he was set up.

Taylor was charged with a felony count of third degree rape (in which a person over the age of 21 has sexual intercourse with a person who is younger than 17) as well as a misdemeanor count of patronizing a prostitute.

A lawyer for the sports star said in court Thursday, “Lawrence Taylor is denying these charges. … He’s a caring and loving family man.”

Lawrence Taylor Arrested After Rape Allegation

Lawrence Taylor, famous for breaking plays and breaking legs  on the football field, is back in the news again.  This time it’s not because of the game of football, and it’s more serious than leaving the scene of an accident as he did last November.  This time, the famous ex-linebacker of the New York Giants was arrested for allegedly committing the rape of a 15 year-old girl in a Montebello, New York hotel.  Police said that he would be charged with third-degree rape because the victim is a minor.

A news conference has been scheduled for this afternoon to detail the charges.

According to police, the teenager was a run-a-way from the Bronx and she was taken to the hotel by a pimp.  After the incident she was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Taylor, a veteran of 13 years with the New York Giants was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999.  He is considered to be one of the best defensive players of all time.

His career has been marred by several suspensions by the NFL because of problems with drugs and alcohol.  He has also been arrested for drug possession.  Since leaving the game of football as a player he re-emerged in the public eye by working as a TV sports announcer on NFL broadcasts.

Last November, Mr. Taylor was charged in Dade County, Florida for leaving the scene of an accident.  The case is still pending.  He was released on a $500 dollar bond.

So far there is no comment from the New York Giants or the NFL which has been busy dealing with the Ben Roethlisberger alleged rape case in Georgia.  Roethlisberger was never charged, but he is having to deal with suspension for several games as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback.  The league said that Roethlisberger’s conduct was not becoming of the NFL league values and standards.

Pamela Anderson, Dancing With The Stars Elimination May 4

Last night’s Dancing With The Stars pool of celebrities got shorter by one person, and unfortunately it was Pamela Anderson that was eliminated from the show.

During last night’s Dancing With The Stars episode, the contestants were split into two teams for the cha cha challenge. Team Gaga, which Pamela Anderson was part of, also consisted of Micole Scherzinger and Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver star Chad Ochocinco.

The other team was Team Madonna, and that team consisted of Evan Lysacek, Niecy Nash and Erin Andrews. And although Team Madonna scored well in their routine, they (Team Madonna) were not able to overcome the performance of Team Gaga.

So Team Gaga was able to take the championship last night, but apparently it wasn’t enough to prevent Pamela Anderson from being singled out and eliminated from Dancing With The Stars.

Even Lysacek and his partner Anna Trebunskaya were able to bring home the top score this week, with a perfect score of 30. They also received a standing ovation after they had completed their number. Their number was a powerful, briskly paced tango that had taken the judges by surprise.

Chad Ochocinco is scheduled to head to pre-season football camp this summer. But for now, throughout the spring, he is enjoying his time on Dancing With The Stars and trying to leverage this to help keep him shape during the NFL off season.

Pictures of Tim Tebow’s Denver Broncos jersey is just now starting to hit the web, and the jersey is not the traditional #15 that we saw Tebow wearing during his days at Florida.

According to Huffington Post, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner from Florida and surprising first-round draft pick dons an orange No. 15 jersey and is participating in workouts on a chilly Friday morning with six other draft choices, 19 college free agents and two wide receivers trying out with the team.

During the 25-minute period in which reporters, photographers and cameramen are allowed to observe, Tebow ran agility drills and then threw several passes under the watchful eyes of coach Josh McDaniels and his younger brother, Ben, who is Denver’s new quarterbacks coach.

Deploying his new and improved throwing motion that removes the looping windup he had in college, Tebow’s throws were tight and compact.

It will be interesting to see exactly how much playing time Tim Tebow will be getting in the up coming 2010 NFL season.

Josh McDaniels is very excited about having the Heisman Trophy winner on his team as quarterback, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll be seeing a lot of playing time right from the beginning with Tim Tebow.
