After missing the previous game recovering from the injury, he had a spectacular role for the win by adding 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals, therefore, benefit the team in every aspect.

As we all know, Russell enjoys taking a lot of field shots but interestingly he made only two 3 point attempts in this game.

His main weapon this Wednesday was the high percentage of field points scored, mostly within the 6,75 line.

The Return of Westbrook and the Rockets

This season Russell Westbrook is having one of the best statistics in recent years.

He has improved his playing style and with the help of James Harden, he manages to keep the Rockets in the high play-off position.

In the game against the Grizzlies, this duo has scored 63 points, and the question is how will they be able to put up even better performances as the season continues.

As it comes to Russell he is playing a very important role for the Rockets this season, and so far he has been doing a great job.

Few injuries have stopped him to perform in some games, but when he is on the field, the Rockets are making much better stats and scoring more points.

In the latest games, he has been wasting much less balls, having reduced his 3 point shooting, that combined with smart resolutions near the basket provided great numbers for Russell in this game.

Moreover, he finished as the leading scorer of the Rockets in the game, which encourages the coach and the team that he will be able to play in his best form for the most important games of the season.

With average point-scoring percent of 28 points per game, he is bringing more solutions to the offensive of the team, while also having a considerable number of rebounds, assists and steals per game so it seems like he is always very close to the triple-double.

One thing is for sure as the season moves on – we can surely have very high expectations from Russell Westbrook and the Rockets.

Fans were delighted to see just how well will the rookie superstar cope with King James and his Lakers, and one thing is for sure – they had put up quite a show for the audience.

As we all know, great hype is following Zion Williamson while many are saying that he is the best NBA rookie to show since the draft of LeBron James in 2003.

Namely, up until now, Zion Williamson has had a very efficient season since in every previous game he succeeded in scoring above 20 points.

There is no doubt that Zion is now already the inspiration for many young NBA players.

Being such an athlete is always helpful for a player on his position, so although LeBron James scored 40 points and proved that he is the rightful NBA King, Zion Williamson has surely made some spectacular plays and scores on Tuesday night.

Will Zion Impact the Game as LeBron did?

As the season progress, it is clear that even in his first NBA season Zion is already doing a magnificent job.

He is certainly the key figure of New Orleans Pelicans since when he is on the court, the team is sure to score more points, in comparison to when he is not on the field.

By adding 29 points to his team’s count on Tuesday, he made it much more difficult for James and his teammates to play their own game and that resulted in a very close finish of the game that ended 118 – 109 for the Lakers.

Some Amazing Dunks Were Seen

As we all know, amazing dunks are expected of such an event, so let’s focus on some of the best seen last night.

We have witnessed dunks over very tall players, off the backboard and through the legs which are a specialty of modern-day NBA athletes.

Aaron Gordon managed to get maximum points on four rounds and still did not make enough points for the win.

Namely, many say that the only fair finish of the event was for both players to get a trophy – that is just how dramatic this Dunk Contest 2020 was.

Gordon hit a dunk on the side of the backboard, by doing a 360-degree windmill which was one of the best dunks of the evening.

On the other hand, Derrick Jones made several spectacular dunks through the legs with massive jumping ability.

The winning dunk was done by Derrick Jones while combining the free-throw takeoff and a windmill which has resulted in him getting 48 points as a result of this amazing unpredictable dunk.

Overall, the two have put up quite a show for the audience tonight.

The Dunk Contest History

The drama generated through this year’s NBA Dunk Contest reminded the spectators of some of the previous spectacular competitions over the years.

Although the Dunk Contest was the discipline of NBA

weekend for years, fans say that this final reminded them of 1988 final where Michael Jordan faced Dominique Wilkins in an epic battle.

That year the contest was in Chicago and the two players that finished first and second scorers of the league that season faced each other to decide the winner.

Michael Jordan won a trophy that night, but the word is that many still believe to this day that Wilkins was a rightful winner.

His Monday’s interview came two weeks after the tape of him telling a lady friend not to appear in public in company of black people such as Magic Johnson. The tape brought about many responses including from Johnson himself, who insisted that Sterling could not continue being the owner of Clippers.

Anyway, during Monday’s interview, Donald apologized for the comment he made. However, Sterling also insisted on being set up to make such comments by his ex-girlfriend. He claims his ex-girlfriend recorder their conversation secretly with a motive of baiting him. Sterling said that he never speaks as portrayed in the tape. He even goes further surprised as he thought their relationship was genuine despite the big age gap. Donald made it clear his lack of trust for his ex-girlfriend and wished to have a one-on-one conversation with her. Donald could also not accept the rumors of him being taped for almost two years by the girlfriend. He even thinks he was just on a ride in the 2-year relationship. With these two points of view, you can be rational on the trending topic on how Donald Sterling digs himself deeper with another racist remark about Magic Johnson.

Delonte West Twitter – Furniture Store

West, who is a free agent in the basketball world, tweeted relentlessly about his first day on his new job and shared pictures (which you can see when his Twitter account calms down). He even shared a photo of his job application, complete with the explanation that he’d been convicted of a crime because of a “misunderstanding.”

Paul Pierce has closed 2 huge deals this week:

1) He just signed a 4 year, $61 million dollar deal with the Boston Celtics since he became a free agent at the end of this year.

2) And most importantly, he just married his fiancée, interior designer Julie Landrum, in an oceanfront ceremony in California, People.com reports.

Paul Pierce, 32, and his interior-designer bride, 27, exchanged vows underneath a gazebo at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast, Calif. The couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Prianna, served as the flower girl, and fellow Celtics Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and coach Glenn “Doc” Rivers were among the approximately 80 guests.

Hollywood comedians wasted no time whatsoever to take advantage of LeBron James’ The Decision. LeBron James went on ESPN last Saturday night with a 1 hour special program to announce his decision as to where he would call home next year in the NBA. LeBron donated all of sponsor revenue from the program to his Boys and Girls Club of America charity.

Although this year’s free agency has been dominated by LeBron James and The Decision, there was another free agent that easily captured the attention of every team GM and owner – and his name is Derek Fisher.

Derek Fisher was courted most prominently by the Miami Heat. On Saturday morning, Fisher met with team president Pat Riley and team owner and was asked to join the stacked roster of Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, and LeBron James – Fisher was even reportedly offered the starting point guard position.

But at the end of the day, there was only one person who had more influence than all the money and all the power, and that was teammate Kobe Bryant.

Derek Fisher signed with the LA Lakers for another 3 year contract and along with Kobe Bryant, is now on a quest to obtain his 6th NBA Championship ring.

The financial terms for the 3 year contract have not yet been disclosed.

Rumors are spreading that the affair between LeBron James’ mom and Delonte West is one of the main reasons why LeBron James did not chose the New York Knicks.

ESPN host Colin Cowherd said on his radio show today that Gloria James has been involved in a potentially embarrassing situation; a situation that Cowherd claims the New York Post was set to report on before being ‘begged’ not to by representatives of LeBron.

Cowherd said that he was prohibited by his network, ESPN, from discussing the specifics of the situation. He said only that New York Post writers had staked out Gloria James’ house and presumably had embarrassing information concerning her. Cowherd’s take on it was that James realized that living life in the big city fishbowl that is New York City would have created too much of a risk of embarrassment for him and his mother, with whom he is very close. Cleveland media, on the other hand, is much more protective of its local athletes.

Although during Lebron’s 1 hour show last night, he made a great argument that the only reason he chose the Miami Heat as his home team is because he wants to win a championship.

His exact quote was, “the only reason we are in this business is to win championships.”

And above and beyond money, rumors, affairs, and anything else that people are talking about, I’m convinced that LeBron simply wants to win the coveted NBA Championship ring – multiple rings if possible. And right now, the Miami Heat gives him the best opportunity to make that happen.

The decision is final – LeBron James will be heading to South Beach to become a member of the Miami Heat. Lebron will join NBA all stars Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in an effort to finally make it to the NBA finals and come away with a championship ring.

With Lebron joining the Miami Heat, he obviously had to turn down all the other teams that were pursuing him. The New York Knicks were ready to offer Lebron the most money; the Cleveland Cavaliers were also ready to give Lebron the max salary cap that the NBA will allow.

Obviously, LeBron is after an NBA championship and money is not the main driving force.

As LeBron said during his one hour show on ESPN, if he was interested in money he would have gone with some other team. Miami gives LeBron James the best chance to win a championship, so now Lebron heads to South Beach!

There are new rumors hitting the web that are stating that multiple sources are confirming that LeBron James will in fact be heading to Miami.  Fanhouse.com writer is reporting that these rumors are building, and that multiple sources are also confirming LeBron James is heading to Miami.

If LeBron James did go to Miami, then he would be joining forces with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. This would be the most concentrated force of NBA super stars that the NBA has seen in quite sometime.

We will find out tonight for sure during the 1 hour ESPN session that is being called “The Decision” – starts at 9pm EST tonight on ESPN.

We are now less than 24 hours away from LeBron James announcing where he will sign to play basketball. The ESPN special, held tomorrow night at 9pm EST, is going to be held in Greenwich, Connecticut at the Boys and Girls Club of America.

Greenwich, Conn. just so happens to the location of a training camp for the New York Knicks.

I can’t help but believe that this one factor is enough to solidify that LeBron James will be signing with the New York Knicks.

To hold a press conference in Greenwich, Connecticut and not sign with the Knicks would, in my opinion, be an insult to every other team in the NBA – most of all the Knicks themselves.

While the world waits for LeBron James to make his decision on where he will sign, there are two players that have closed the book on their free agency decisions.

Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade are going to play for Miami Heat.

Both Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade were free agents this year. And after Dwayne Wade made several times with the Miami Heat ownership, he decided to stay where he is in Miami. He will also be joined by Chris Bosh, making the Miami Heat a formidable contender for an NBA Championship run.

It was only about 7 hours ago, or so, that LeBron James finally made a decision. But the decision wasn’t about what NBA team he would sign with. The decision he made was to launch a new Twitter profile.

Last nights game 7 in the NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics was the end of an absolutely amazing, hard fought finals series. The game itself ended up being a very low scoring game, mainly due to the hard fighting on defense that both teams were putting  forward. So when the Lakers ultimately ended up winning to become the NBA champions, it goes without saying that emotions were running high in the Staples Center.

Ron Artest Interview

One of my favorite parts of the post game was when a sports broadcaster tried to interview Ron Artest on the court. She (the broadcaster) asked Ron Artest some question about the game, his performance, etc… but what she got back was a funny, humorous, and very entertaining response from Ron Artest.

Ron Artest basically blew off the question asked and just started thanking everyone he could think of for the championship victory.

Really was there any question about who the MVP was going to be after the Lakers beat the Celtics to win the NBA title? Kobe Bryant has now won not only his 2nd NBA title in 2 years, but Kobe Bryant has now won his 2nd Finals MVP in 2 years. The Lakers played an amazingly hard fought game 7 to finally beat the Celtics the send Boston back home without the NBA title.

I believe that Kobe Bryant deserves the MVP not only for his amazing scoring capabilities and his defense, but also for his smart play on the court. Kobe Bryant knew that he was having a terrible night shooting the ball – he just couldn’t get the ball to go through the hoop. So in the 4th quarter, it started to appear as if he realized the bad shooting night he was having, started drawing the double teams on purpose, just to feed the ball off the his team mates to score.

This is just another example of why Kobe Bryant not only deserves the Finals MVP, but also why Kobe is, without question, the greatest basketball player in the world right now!

The Lakers were on fire tonight in Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics. I’m guessing that Kobe Bryant basically chewed out his teammates by telling them that if he has to carry the team, then you don’t deserve to be called champions. And how true it is…

Kobe Bryant, although he had a spectacular night, was not the only one scoring and driving the Lakers to a dominant victory tonight. The load was carried across all the Lakers players, from starters all the way to deep into the bench.

The Lakers were playing with an intensity that the Boston Celtics just could not contend with, and if they play like this on Thursday night, then it will be lights out for the Celtics.

Perhaps one of the most exciting plays of the night during Game 6 of the NBA finals when Jordan Farmar slammed dunked over Kevin Garnett. Farmar took it straight to the hoop without hesitation and KG couldn’t do anything but watch.

Game 6 of the NBA Finals just went into half time with the Lakers up by 20 points against the Celtics. The Lakers look like a totally different team tonight against Boston Celtics. The most prominent characteristics that sticks out to me is the fact that people other than Kobe Bryant are scoring on the Lakers team. In game 5 in Boston, Kobe Bryant scored 49% of the Lakers total points – tonight, Bryant only has 29% of the total points scored. This means that the Lakers players are stepping up, being aggressive, and making plays on their own without relying 100% on Kobe Bryant. The momentum is clearly in the Lakers favor right now The Lakers are playing harder, being more aggressive, and appear to simply want it more than the Celtics do right now. And like I said, the Lakers are playing as a team allowing the scoring differential to be spread across to other players. If the Lakers come out and keep playing aggressive like they’ve been playing, then game 6 will go to the Lakers along with the momentum of the series. Not to mention, the psychological advantage that the Lakers will gain over the Celtics with a dominant win tonight.

Let’s get ready for the second half of Game 6 of the NBA finals in Los Angeles.

It is being reported on ESPN.com that LeBron James would “100% endorse” Tom Izzo as the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

As the debate continues around where LeBron James will end up playing, he is not the only controversy brewing in Cleveland. The search for a new head coach continues for the Cleveland Cavaliers. And no one seems to be more of an interest to the Cavs as the ever so popular head coach at Michigan State – Tom Izzo.

But Tom Izzo is a college basketball coach, not a coach in the NBA. And to some people, this became a sticking point of debate over whether or not LeBron James would be willing to play for a coach who has zero NBA experience.

According to ESPN, “there was a pertinent development Sunday night in the Izzo saga, when the Cleveland Plain-Dealer reported on its website that LeBron James would not oppose Izzo’s hiring after it was previously reported that James prefers to play for a coach who has played in the NBA. The Plain Dealer, quoting what it termed a “high-level source,” said James would “100 percent” endorse Izzo’s hiring.”

So is LeBron James’ endorsement of Tom Izzo as the head coach of Cleveland imply that LeBron might just stay at Cleveland and renew his contract?

Apparently after you play the Lakers enough, and watch enough film, then you start to see a pattern emerge. And that pattern is that Kobe Bryant is the dominant force in the overall scoring of the Los Angeles Lakers.

I guess this is really something that we all knew.

But being the Boston Celtics, and preparing for the critical game 5 of the NBA finals, there was only one formidable strategy to follow – and that was to force Kobe Bryant to work for every point. And by focusing almost exclusively on Kobe Bryant to stop his scoring, then that would leave it up to the rest of the Lakers team to carry the weight.

And I think we just saw last night that the Lakers, without Kobe Bryant carrying the team to victory, really doesn’t have anyone who is capable of carrying the team.

Which means ultimately that the Boston Celtics’ strategy worked. And in fact, not only did their strategy work last night in defeating the Los Angeles Lakers, but the strategy is more than likely to work each and every night a team takes the court with the Lakers.

If the opposing team is capable of shutting down Kobe Bryant, or at least making him work tirelessly for every shot he takes and every point he scores, then the Lakers just are not able to run away with the game.

And you better believe that the Boston Celtics are going to come into The Staples Center tomorrow night for game 6 with the exact same strategy in hand – shut down Kobe Bryant, and more than likely you’ll win the game.

It will be interesting to see if the Los Angeles Lakers actually go down in game 6 tomorrow night!

Here we are in the 4th quarter of game 4 of the NBA Finals of the Lakers vs Celtics. Big Baby Davis is absolutely on fire here in the fourth quarter and the Celtics are now giving the Lakers a bit of a run.

But here’s the thing – the Celtics are right now playing at a very high level of energy and execution. However, the lead is only 8 over the Lakers, and this is something that should be a concern for Celtics’ fans and the Boston players.

Look at this comparatively – if the Lakers are on fire like the Celtics are at the moment, what would you say the lead would be right now?

I would say that when the Lakers are on fire like the Celtics, the lead is easy into the double digits – like 15 – 20.

But the Celtics are on fire, and the lead is sitting at what, 8 points?

I don’t know – the Lakers don’t look like they are playing at their best. In fact, the Lakers are looking sloppy and missing a bunch of offensive and defensive plays.

But yet again, the lead is only 8 – or 9 now.

And now what’s killing the Celtics?

It was clear watching game 2 of the NBA finals last night between the Lakers and the Celtics, that I was watching basketball at the absolute highest caliber that I’ve ever seen before.

From Ray Allen setting an NBA final’s 3 point record, to Kobe Bryant coming in to close the half and scoring 3 pointers at will – last night’s game 2 of the Lakers vs. Celtics was amazing to watch as a basketball fan.

The Lakers seemed to have a pretty easy way of coming back from a pretty big deficit in the first half. I though for sure with this come back that the Lakers were going to come into the second half and start pulling away from the Celtics.

But the hard fought efforts of people like Rajon Rondo, and Glen “Big Baby” Davis, the Celtics were able to fight off the relentless attacks of the Lakers and end up winning game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Game 3 of the NBA Finals is now heading to Boston on Tuesday night with a 9pm tip off.

I have to say however, that unless Boston can come in and play at the high level of caliber of basketball each and every game, then the Lakers will end up winning the NBA finals. The Lakers are a refined machine, losing does not come easy for these guys.

I just found a great site on TNT where you can watch the Los Angeles Lakers play the Phoenix Suns live online. This live online stream features “commercial free” broadcasting, which means you will not be taken to a commercial break.

Instead of commercials, there seems to be one camera that is locked onto Kobe Bryant constantly, regardless of whether he is on the floor playing or on the bench.

Right now, in the 2nd quarter, the game is very close at 42 – 41, Lakers are up. The Phoenix Suns have a great record playing on their home court. However, the Los Angeles Lakers are still favored to win this game 6 match up.

If the Lakers win tonight’s game 6, then the Lakers will be meeting the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals with Game 1 on Thursday night.

If the Phoenix Suns win tonight, then Game 7 of the Western Conference will head back to The Staples Center in Los Angeles this coming Monday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers have topped the Phoenix Suns in game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers proved to be too strong for Steve Nash, Grant Hill, and the Phoenix Suns.

Even though there were moments where the Phoenix Suns looked like they could topple the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 at the Staples Center, ultimately the Lakers were too strong.

The Phoenix Suns were playing sloppy, taking forced shots from the perimeter and in my opinion, just over powered and outplayed by the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Los Angeles Lakers are proving that they have too many weapons to be stopped by a team like the Phoenix Suns. And even if players like Andrew Bynum aren’t 100% and only grab four points and four rebounds, the Lakers are still too strong for the Phoenix Suns to contend with.  The Los Angeles Lakers have Lamar Odom who poses just as much of a match up challenge with his ability to play every position and dominate inside and out. Odom earned a career playoff high 19 rebounds to go with his 19 points in Game 1.

The good news for the Los Angeles Lakers is that Kobe Bryant signed a contract extension.  Kobe Bryant signed a contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. The contract extension should also end rumors that he might try to leave the Lakers to go team up with a superstar in another city.

From the looks of Game 2, I’m going to predict that we’ll see the Los Angeles Lakers sweep the Phoenix Suns and meet up with the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.
