We all love it when someone famous finally joins Twitter. Well Tiger Woods is no exception to this rule. Yesterday, Tiger Woods finally came alive on his Twitter profile @TigerWood with the following update:

Although a lot of people are saying that “Tiger Woods has finally come to Twitter”, this is not 100% correct.

Tiger Woods, according to his Twitter profile, created and posted his first Twitter update on June 26, 2010.

So really, for some reason yesterday Tiger Woods decided to come back to Twitter and start updating his 181,391 followers.

Honestly, I would’ve thought Tiger would be around the 1 million follower mark.

Tiger Woods just made history today.

He finished with his worst showing ever in his PGA career.

His four-day total of 18 over par is his worst showing at a PGA 72 hole event, both as a pro and as an amateur.

What was his response to this dismal performance?

“It’s been a long year!”

Indeed it has – I’m thinking that Tiger would be better off finding a way to reconcile his relationship with his wife and get things back in order!

Tiger Woods’ golf game is spiraling out of control.

Currently, Woods is #78 out of 80 players at Bridgestone, and finds himself looking at the worst PGA performance in his career.

Tiger Woods has been ranked #1 golfer in the world for the past 269 weeks and for a total of 611 in his career.

According to CBS Sports, Tiger Woods will earn one FedEx Cup point this week, as it looks at this point, and he will fall to 114th place in total points.

This position will only allow Woods entrance into the first of the four events in the playoff series.

But don’t rule out Woods’ just yet – he could very easily catch on fire and make a big move into the top 100.

What if he doesn’t?

This might sound shocking to you, but if Tiger Woods doesn’t move into the top 100 then he won’t be eligible to play at the Deutsche Bank Championship, a tournament that benefits and is largely run by his personal charity.

WHAT…. WOW!

What Tiger Woods is looking at realistically is playing as few as three more events on the PGA Tour this year. Next week he’ll be in the PGA at Whistling Straits, of course the FedEx opener, and he has committed to playing in the HSBC Champions event in China in November.

So what is the world is happening to Tiger Woods?

Is his golf game falling apart because of his the drama in his personal life?

However, in the midst of all the affair mongering that was taking place, Tiger Woods did make one announcement that seems to have diverted the sharks appetite, at least for now.

Tiger Woods announced that he would be departing from his Scotty Cameron Newport 2 putter, which he has used for 11 years now, and in turn will be taking up the Nike Method 001 putter for the Open at St. Andrews this week.

The greens at St. Andrews are running slow, and the Nike Method putter is designed to give the ball more emphasis at the top upon striking, thus making the ball run faster.

If Tiger Woods finds that the Nike Method 001 putter gives him a substantial competitive advantage, then we can expect to see the Scotty Cameron putter a whole lot less.

Tiger Woods Divorce – Tiger Isn’t Even Worth $750 Million

The buzz surrounding Tiger Woods and his $750 million divorce settlement that is / was suppose to go to Elin Nordegren is apparently a big media hoax.

According to TMZ, Tiger Woods isn’t even worth $750 million dollars to begin with – so how can Tiger give Elin money that he doesn’t even have?

Since yesterday, one of the biggest news stories to hit the web has been the Tiger Woods divorce story. And out of that, the rumored $750 million settlement clearly dominated the web’s attention.

The divorce itself is supposedly a done deal. All Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren need to do is go ahead and sign the documents to make that final.

According to some sources, the papers have already been signed and just waiting for the filing to be made in court.

Again, this is a sad ending to a marriage – especially since there are children involved. And from everything I’ve read, Elin was a great wife and mother. The only problem is that Tiger Woods couldn’t keep himself under control and remain faithful.

Tiger Woods Divorce Settlement & Child Custody Finalized In Court

This all really didn’t take very long to hammer out if you think about it. It was only a few months ago that we were watching Tiger Woods make a public confession about the affairs that were breaking left and right in the news. The speech seemed to be both an apology to the public – and his wife – and also a warning to the media that his life is private and please stop harassing him and his wife (Elin Nordegren).

So today the news has been breaking that the Tiger Woods divorce has been finalized and agreed upon by both himself and Elin. Of course, the biggest news is that the settlement in the divorce gives Elin approximately $750 million in the divorce.

But the other story that hasn’t been talked about much is the fact that Tiger has also lost custody of his children. Which is to say that Elin Nordegren gets full custody of Tiger Woods’ children.

I’d have to say that in the end, this is probably the biggest hit to Tiger Woods. As a father, I couldn’t imagine losing my children. It is truly something that a price tag could not be placed.

But equally tragic, it seems that Elin truly loved Tiger Woods for who he is and not for things such as his money, popularity, and all the other variables that the media seems to dwell.

Tiger Woods Divorce, Did The Nanny Help Elin Secure $750 Million?

Tiger Woods is once again in the news with the breaking update that Elin Nordegren is set to receive $750 million from the divorce settlement. Tiger Woods I’m sure is able to pay that amount without any problem.

Along with the $750 million payout to Elen, Tiger Woods will not be able to bring any of his girlfriends along with him when he visits his children. Also, Elen Nordegren is forced to agree to not discuss the affairs with the media.

In other developing news around the Tiger Woods divorce story is this issue about Elin’s nanny contributing to the $750 million settlement that she got from Tiger Woods.

There are rumors buzzing around that one of Elin’s nannies secretly removed some paperwork from Tiger Woods office, thumbed through documents, and was able to help Elin determine exactly how much money she could pursue Tiger Woods for in the divorce settlement.

If this is true about the nanny, then we could very quickly find ourselves with another breaking media frenzy on our hand – as if the Tiger Woods divorce story isn’t enough for all of us already.

Tiger Woods Divorce Update – Tiger Woods To Pay $750 in Divorce Settlement

There is news breaking on the Tiger Woods divorce situation that is reporting that Tiger Woods agreed to pay at least $750 million in a divorce settlement with wife, Elin Nordegren, according to a report issued by the London Sun.

According to the divorce agreement, Elin Nordegren is not allowed to ever speak publicly about Tiger Woods’ extramarital affairs, nor the conversations that took place between her and Woods about these affairs.

And Tiger Woods isn’t allowed to bring any girlfriends around his two young children.

Elin Nordegren to sign divorce papers next week in Orlando, Florida

The Sun reports that Woods and Nordegren will sign divorce papers next week during a court hearing in Orlando, Fla.

The deal will also reportedly give Nordegren full custody of the couple’s children, 3-year-old daughter Sam and 1-year-old son Charlie.

Woods will pay the 30-year-old Nordegren between $750 million and $833 million, provided she doesn’t reveal any details about her former husband’s reported affairs.

Tiger Woods will now be free to have as many relationships as he wants (as if he wouldn’t anyway) with as many women as he wants without the constraint of the marriage.

Unfortunately, this situation is probably not going to help Tiger Woods with issues he was dealing with when he admitted himself for treatment after news of the affairs broke publicly.

The US Open Golf Tournament is set to begin on tomorrow, Thursday, June 17th. The tee times have been released (see below). All of the tee times released are in Pacific Standard Time since the tournament is being played in Big Sur, California.

As usual, all eyes will be on Tiger Woods who is continuing his comeback. Woods, who has struggled with a neck injury of late, will tee off at 4:36 p.m. EST along with Ernie Els and Lee Westwood in one of the most star-studded groups of the opening round of play. Woods is returning to the scene of one of the greatest performances in professional golf history, where he blew away the field at the 2000 U.S. Open en route to a 15 shot victory.

Els struggled and missed the cut at the Memorial, but he already has two wins to his credit this season and is No. 1 on the PGA Tour money list.

Phil Mickelson, fresh off his inspired victory at the Masters, will begin play at 11:06 a.m. EST with Padraig Harrington and Y.E. Yang. A U.S. Open win by Mickelson would make him the No. 1 player in the world. He could still take over No. 1 in the world if he finishes as low as third, depending on where Woods finishes.

Devon James, Tiger Woods’ Mistress

Devon James, who is one of the many former mistresses of Tiger Woods, is now claiming that Tiger Woods is the father of her child.

The drama surrounding Tiger Woods’ mistresses just doesn’t seem to end. One of Tiger Woods’ mistresses, Devon James, claims that Tiger Woods is the daddy of her son Austin T. James who is now 9 years old.

Devon James, who is now 29 years old, is claiming that when she was 19 years old, she met Tiger Woods and started having an affair with him. This was happening while she was also attending a Christian school program.

The one major problem here with Devon James’ claims that Tiger Woods is the father of her child is that James never had any DNA testing performed to prove who the father was. However, Devon James states that the child has to be his because Tiger Woods was the only African American man that she dated at the time the child was born.

Devon James’ mother, Sandra Brinling, has come out strong against her daughter’s accusations saying that “it’s not true:  …she (Devon James) is a ‘pathological liar’ and that she knows exactly who Austin T.’s real dad is.  My daughter is only out to lie, steal and cheat and is looking for is to get money from Tiger Woods.'”

Players Championship Live 2010 Leaderboard

The Players Championship is proving to be more a challenge than Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods both anticipated. They both were tied at the end of 2nd round play, and neither one are having spectacular games.

Heath Slocum is the current leader on the Players Championship leaderboard coming in at -15 (15 under). Lee Westwood is 2nd at -13 under, Francesco Molinari is at -12 under. Both Chris Stroud, Tim Clark, and Lucas Glover are all tied at -11 under.

Early in round 1 of The Players Championship 2010, Phil Mickelson is struggling to live up to his #1 power rankings. In fact, looking at the 2010 Players Championship leaderboard, Phil Mickelson’s name is nowhere to be found in the top 10.

The current leader is J.B. Holmes at -6 after shooting 66 strokes in round 1.

The Players Championship 2010 Power Rankings, Tiger Woods #10

Let’s get ready for The Players Championship 2010!

The power rankings for this year’s Players Championship might surprise some of as you look through the rankings and note some of the names that appear at the top – and also those that appear toward to the bottom.

I’m referring specifically to the top 10 power rankings for The Players Championship.

#1 Power Ranking –  Phil Mickelson

Phil Mickelson comes in at the #1 spot in the power rankings and rightly so. After winning in Augusta at the Masters, and then following up with a 2nd place finish at the Quail Hallow Championships, Phil Mickelson is the obviously choice for the #1 ranking position.

According to Jaxobserver.com, Phil Mickelson had this to say about The Players Championship:

I find that this tournament has built over the years a real credibility in the sense that the top players are coming to the top now here. The golf course is the same – we use the same course every year just like Augusta. So you see history being made and shots being played that you can look back on over the years,” said Phil Mickelson, a four-time major champion and the 2007 Players winner.

#10 Power Ranking – Tiger Woods

And perhaps one of the more shocking ranking results is Tiger Woods coming in #10 in the power rankings. This also, in my opinion, is rightly deserved.

Tiger Woods finished 4th in Augusta at The Masters, and failed to meet the cut at Quail Hallow. So the #10 ranking for Tiger Woods, although it may be shocking for some of us and for him, seems to be appropriate.

Day 2 of the 2010 Quail Hollow Golf Championship is underway in Charlotte, NC.

Tiger Woods was scheduled to tee off at 12:50pm ET (9:50am PST) and Billie Van Pelt was scheduled for 1:20pm ET (10:20am PST).

Well we are officially off and running at Day 2 of the 2010 Quail Hollow Golf Championship in Charlotte, NC. After round one Billy Van Pelt led the field with a 7 under 65, but with some golfers taking the course early today, we already have a tie for the lead with Garth Mulroy shooting 4 under through 14 holes.

The biggest story of the day so far though is the unbelievable play of J.P. Hayes who shot an 8 under 64 in an early round of golf today. He sits only 1 shot off the lead alongside Dustin Johnson who shot an equally impressive 7 under 65, and Phil Mickelson who shot a 4 under 68.

Snoop Dogg to Elin Nordegren, “Take Tiger Woods Back”

The craziness that comes out of the headlines is sometimes too much to bare. However, it is certainly entertaining none the less.

Apparently, Snoop Doggy Dogg is now a marriage counselor to the rich and famous.

While on Larry King Live, Snoop had this to say about Tiger Woods – Elin Nordegren’s divorce situation:

“You know, that’s a proximal issue with him and his wife. And I feel like it’s been blown out of proportion because he was looked at as somebody who was perfect. But at the same time, nobody is perfect and everybody makes mistakes. So let’s let him get his life back with his wife and move on.”

The Snoop Dogg also added that he can relate to his story because sometimes it takes a negative situation to turn into a positive. Snoop says he and his wife no longer look back at the past and have since moved forward.

“I think he’s going to do real good in life, you know, just getting his life back right and understanding what’s important, because sometimes it takes a negative situation like that for you to really turn it into a positive. It’s beautiful. We’ve been on the right track. Really, we don’t look back no more. We’re all about moving ahead. It was hard for me, because I realized that’s where I wanted to be and where I needed to be. So I had to get my mind that right and focus on what was important to me.”

So Snoop Dogg has learned some things in life and is now giving some decent counsel to Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren!

And who would’ve thought that we’d see the day where Snoop Doggy Dogg was giving words of wisdom on life, marriage, peace, and happiness.

I have to admit, I’m quite impressed with Snoop Dogg’s disposition and outlook on life!

Jaimee Grubbs Released Out of Jail: Tiger Woods’ Mistress

Yesterday I wrote about how Jaimee Grubbs, Tiger Woods’ alleged mistress, was arrested in West Hollywood for driving with a suspended license.

Jaimee Grubbs was actually handcuffed at the scene and taken to the LA County Jail to be booked in – that means, Jaimee Grubbs was arrested.

The harsh part of the story is that Jaimee Grubbs was held on $30, 309 bail – now that sounds a bit harsh for being arrested on a suspended license.

Anyway, Jaimee Grubbs was released early Thursday morning, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

Her bail was set at $30, 309, according to the West Hollywood Watch Commander.

This figure includes the fees for two additional warrants that were out for her arrest.

What’s funny here is that even one of Tiger Woods’ mistresses would be making headline news – simply because she was associated with Tiger Woods.

But anyway, it is become popular news very quickly that Jamie Grubbs, a mistress of Tiger Woods, was arrested today in West Hollywood.

When Jamie Grubbs was arrested, she was taken into police custody for driving on a suspended license.

There may be more to this story than we know at this point because the bail is set very high at $26,000.

Law enforcement sources tell gossip web site TMZ that Grubbs was arrested for two offenses and was taken in after it was discovered her license was suspended.

With the recent discoveries of additional mistresses, Elin Nordegren apparently has had enough of the chaos.

Recent discoveries of porn star Devon James and an affair with Tiger and Elin’s neighbor, Raychel Coudriet more than likely sent Elin Woods over the edge and running to the nearest divorce attorney.

Actually, the rumor is that while Tiger Woods was losing at The Masters – of which Elin never wanted him to play in to begin with – Elin was on a plane heading to Arizona.

It would seem that with Tiger Woods, the public confession, the self-admittance into treatment, and the desire to return to a normal family life with his wife Elin Nordegren would be cause enough to not immediately get a divorce.

But then there was Raychel Coudriet

But then, right before The Masters was about to tee off, another mistress emerged and this time it was Tiger Woods neighbor’s daughter – Raychel Coudriet.

When this new mistress broke out, in my opinion anyway, it really seemed like it didn’t catch much attention.

The 2010 Masters Tournament seemed like it was enough to keep this news from breaking wide open – even to the point of distraction.

But for Tiger Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, this may have been the straw that broke the camel’s back – so to speak…

Perhaps once Elin Nordegren heard about this new mistress, and assuming that Tiger didn’t tell her about it, then maybe Elin just had enough and decided it was time to file for a divorce.

Are Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren Getting a Divorce?

Ever since the Tiger Woods affairs started breaking out the Tiger Woods divorce rumors started to buzz around the web.

When Tiger Woods made his public confession, and admitted himself to the sex addict clinic, the Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren divorce rumors seem to subside a bit.

Apparently there is a report (don’t have the link) from showbiz authority Entertainment Online that claims that Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren are set to file for divorce sometime in the coming weeks.

Some people believe that Elin Nordegren was on an airplane flying out to Arizona while Tiger Woods was playing at The Masters in Augusta, Georgia.

Certainly, in tournaments of the past, Elin would be right there by her man supporting him every step of the way – but that was not the case this year.

Also, it is believed that both Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren haven’t spoken for some time, and just a few more details need to be worked out to finalize the divorce and sign the papers.

The competitive nature of Tiger Woods was showing in true colors at 2010 Masters in Augusta National.

Tiger Woods ended up 4th overall, and did better than expected considering the drama in his personal life.

But one aspect of Tiger Woods that was coming out in true form was his temper on the golf course.

There is no doubt about it that in 2010, The Masters Golf Tournament was unlike any we’ve seen before.

Tiger Woods stole the spotlight on the course in Augusta National, but he certainly did not steal the spotlight when it came the green jacket.

Phil Mickelson not only took away the title in Augusta, and the green jacket, but he also took a jackpot worth $1.35 million dollars.

Mickelson finished The Masters with a -16 score, and a total of 272 points (and yes, did I mention the $1.35 million?)

Over the past couple of days, I’ve written about both the Tiki Barber affair with Traci Lynn Johnson and also the new Tiger Woods mistress who is Raychel Coudriet, and for some reason I’m thinking that Traci Lynn Johnson is actually the bigger story.

I only have my web analytics to go by here, but I use Get Clicky which gives me real time traffic data and I see Traci Lynn Johnson at the top of my search que constantly, but I don’t believe I’ve seen Raychel Coudriet there more than a handful of times today.

Looking at a screen shot from my Google Analytics also proves this (to a degree anyway). Traci Lynn Johnson is the #1 keyword phrase searched over the past 30 days, and I only wrote about her a few days ago.

The same is true about only writing about Raychel Coudriet a few days ago as well.

What to think of this?

I would have certainly believed that the Tiger Woods story would have been a lot more popular than the Tiki Barber story, but if my analytics are any indication, this is not the case.

Or perhaps it’s that the Tiger Woods story is being dominated by The Masters and his return to golf, and maybe people just don’t care anymore how many mistresses he had in the past.

And maybe Tiki Barber, being new on the mistress story scene, picked up a lot more momentum than Tiger Woods.

This is probably one of the more emotional Nike commercials I’ve seen for any athlete. There are any shoes or products being promoted (except maybe the hat and shirt I suppose).

Fans at The Masters in Augusta greeted Tiger Woods with applause, as though he were a war hero returning from the deserts of Baghdad or the mountains of Afghanistan.

As Tiger progressed throughout the day, the fans seem to have lightened a bit from all the hype that led up to this day.   Gradually, as his play continued, the fans grew more and more like the “Tiger Woods” fans of the past.

Finally, as Tiger Woods completed his last put of the day at The Masters, he was finally greeted with:

”Welcome back Tiger. We missed you.”
