Is it just me, or is everyone (Google, Facebook, etc…) trying to catch up to Twitter?
Just yesterday, Facebook acquired FriendFeed for $50 million or so and then within hours, released a news update about their new search function.
Then within hours of that Google comes out and releases Caffeine, their new search functionality.
Yet here’s Twitter, with their nice new homepage design that emphasis search, sitting back and enjoying their new found relevance in the world of search engines!
To me anyway, since Twitter has found a way to get people to broadcast up to the minute (real time) data, and has an emphasis on the power of being able to search that data, it seems that everyone (Google, Facebook, and even Bing…) is now chasing Twitter.
