The current Facebook iPhone App that I use, which is 2.0 (or maybe 2.3), doesn’t have anywhere to easily access Facebook Fan Pages.
And so what I had to do on my iPhone is simply go to my Facebook Fan Page on the Safari web browser. Doing this does work, sort of…
The main problem I found is that any updates you, as an admin, send to your Facebook Fan Page DOES NOT broadcast out to all of the fans of your page.
This one little problem, in my opinion, costs everything since one of the biggest benefits of Facebook Fan Pages is the broadcast messaging to fans – basically permission based marketing for business.
But the new Facebook 3.0 iPhone App has a button, front and center, on the iPhone that will allow you to not only manage and send out messages from your own Facebook Fan Page, but it will also allow you to easily join and manage pages you are fans of.
I’m really looking forward to the release of Facebook 3.0 for the iPhone!
Here’s an image of what I’m talking about:
The arrow, of course, is pointing to the Facebook Fan Page button that will take you to both the fan pages you administer, and those you are fans of, making it much easier, and more effective, to communicate and engage your audience of fans!
