How Long Before A Twitter Case Heads To The Supreme Court?

After just reading about Texas Tech not just banning players from using Twitter, but actually making them delete their Twitter profiles, it got me thinking.

With drastic policy making decisions that are on the spot, almost reactionary in nature, it’s just a matter of time before we have a major court case that is built around somebody (like a university) kicking someone off or out of somewhere (like a football team) because of Twitter use.

And then that case will start local, the university will win, and the case will appealed all the way to the Supreme Court.

I’m telling – you heard it here first – within the next 5 years we’ll see the Supreme Court hearing a case on Twitter policy and use.
