Google Wave Set For 4pm BST or 11am EST

There’s been a lot of buzz about Google Wave going live at 4pm BST (British Summer Time), with is I believe 11am EST (Eastern Standard Time).

And since it’s now 1:41pm EST where I am, then that means the 100,000 Google Wave invites have already gone out.

I just don’t understand why all the references to 4pm BST.  What’s the relevance of referencing British Summer Time in the news articles about the Google Wave release?

Anyone… anyone… Bueller… Bueller!
