President Obama Sends His First Tweet

Even though President Barack Obama has his own Twitter profile (@BarackObama) – no wait… let me rephrase that – he has a Twitter profile that has 3,145,844 followers and is ranked #4 currently in Twitterholic.  Anyway, I digress…

President Obama openly declared in November that he does not update his Twitter profile personally, and that news let a lot of people down.  But be encouraged, because President Barack Obama just sent his first tweet ever!

The tweet was launched from the American Red Cross Twitter profile (@RedCross) at around 2:55 PM EST, today, January 18th, 2010.
