It’s not too often that a runner up would get so much attention. That is, unless you are Miss Jamaica and your name is Yendi Phillips. At the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant in Las Vegas, history was made when Yendi Phillips took 2nd place as Miss Jamaica. The reason for the “history”, you ask? Well, she just so happens to achieve that highest ranking ever by a Jamaican in the Miss Universe contest. So even though she came in 2nd place in the content, to Jamaicans, she is already crowned the winner.
