T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G Network Faster Than Verizon’s 4G LTE

Last night during the Giants vs. Eagles game, I saw for the first time (I think it was the first time anyway…) Verizon’s commercial for their upcoming 4G LTE network (you can see it below). Of course, Verizon is promoting it as lightning fast with a huge budget behind their marketing efforts. But the truth is, Verizon’s 4G LTE network is substantially slower than what’s currently available. T-Mobile’s 4G network can reach download speeds of 21 Mbps and will double to 42 Mbps next year. Verizon 4G LTE network, according to Verizon themselves, will only do 5 Mbps to 12 Mbps. I mean heck, even AT&T’s 4G network is expected to be clocking at least 21 Mbps.
