The iPhone 5 is right now in what I call the “rumor” phase. That’s where everyone in the world spreads rumors about the release date of the iPhone 5.
Beyond the tabloid rumors however, the iPhone 5 is expected to go into trial production in August, mass production in September and arrive on shelves sometime in October.
But even when it does show up, don’t expect to find a device that much different than the current iPhone 4.
In fact, it’s expected that only slight structural changes will be evident with the iPhone and that most of the differences will be found inside.
Upgrades like the faster A5 processor on which the iPad 2 runs, a Qualcomm dual mode GSM/CDMA baseband and a higher resolution 8 megapixel rear camera.
These internal changes are where apparently where Apple’s focus is currently.
We’ll see though.
Hopefully, we’ll at least get the white iPhone version out of the deal.
