Seth Godin’s Word of the Day: Revolution

Yesterday I posted my very first Seth Godin’s Word of the Day, which was “Excoriate“.  And continuing in my long standing tradition (1 day) today’s word from Seth is a bit less extravagant but powerful none the less, especially in the context in which he uses the word.

Seth Godin’s Word of the Day:  Revolution

Sentence (from Seth):  With the revolution going on all around us, there’s so much on the buffet you’re likely to just grab something convenient. Better, I think, to decide what matters first, and go do that.

Definition: (via Google)

rev·o·lu·tion/ˌrevəˈlo͞oSHən/Noun

1. A forcible overthrow of a government or social order for a new system.
2. (in Marxism) The class struggle that is expected to lead to political change and the triumph of communism.

The revolution Seth is talking about in his post today is the information, or the Internet, revolution.

Creating and launching a business today can be both free and easy.  Just take a look at Blogger or WordPress.  But deciding on what to blog about is a whole different story.

Even more to the story, and what makes all the difference in the world – what will separate you from the masses – is deciding to stay with it, not giving up, and remaining focused on your ultimate goal.

If you start changing blogs, changing topic matters, changing business ideas on a regular basis, then nothing has the time to take hold.
