Man Sets Woman On Fire In Elevator – Brooklyn New York

A horrible story was released today after a man posed as an exterminator and brutally incinerated a 73 year-old woman in an elevator in Brooklyn, NY.  What seemed to be a routine visit from an exterminator turned into a horrible incineration of a woman in an elevator.  The man dressed as an exterminator, wore gloves, with a protective mask on his head and carried a container on his back, then took the elevator to the fifth floor.   The woman followed shortly after to the fifth floor where the man was waiting with the sprayer.  He doused her face then her body methodically, lit a Molotov cocktail, and lit her up in flames.  He even started spraying more accelerant on her as she was incinerated to death.

Investigators watched the video of the woman being burned to death in the elevator in horror to gather more details and obviously found one thing: a poor old woman burning to death.

The police identified the victim as Deloris Gillespie, 64, and pronounced her dead at the scene. One neighbor said that Ms. Gillespie was a postal worker.

As of early Sunday morning, there had been no arrests, but investigators were already following a major lead: the man appeared to have been burned on his face and hands. Investigators immediately began looking for him at local hospitals.

Firefighters and the police arrived about 4 p.m. after callers to 911 reported fire and smoke in the building, unaware of what had happened in the elevator.

A resident of the fifth floor, John, 29, who would not give his last name, said he had heard screaming and saw smoke coming from the elevator. “I thought it was kids because the screaming was high-pitched,” he said. “I looked out the door and saw smoke coming out of the elevator.”

What is this world coming to?  This is such a sick tragedy.  I feel that what this man did to this lady should happen to him.  How would he feel if that happened to him?  What would run through his head?
