Disney World has raised their single day passes to Magic Kingdom by $4 bringing the price to $99 for those over 9 years of age.
Disney spokeswoman Kim Prunty says the pricing reflects the high quality of the parks. She also says most guests buy multi-day tickets, which are considerably cheaper per day.
It makes sense to me. It seems like Disney is pushing multi-day passes, which are obviously a lot cheaper per day. They are also pushing people to stay in their resorts by giving them perks like a new fast pass plus feature that lets you pick multiple fast passes per park all at once. Of course, when I say push, I don’t mean it in a bad way, because I love staying at the resort and buying the multi-day pass for the complete Disney experience. I wouldn’t do it any other way. They probably also figure the higher single day passes will force you to buy a multi and that you’ll obviously spend a lot more if you stay longer, even if you can’t afford it!
