Most people who have watched the news over the past few days have heard about the difficulty Paua Deen has gotten into regarding her corporate sponsors. Deen’s troubles started with a response she made about a racially insenstive remark she made as part of a legal deposition Despite attempts to mitigate the damage with a video protesting her innocence, and an interview with Matt Lauer on the Today show. Deen has gotten a great deal of criticism for her remarks. Unfortunately for Deen, she has lost a number of her corporate sponsors such as the Food Network and the Shopping channel who dropped her shows earlier this week. Smithfield Hams, also cut ties with the star. Walmart was the last to leave the pack. It is one of the things that has troubled Deen over the past few weeks. Walmart says it will place no new orders for Deen merchandise.

Deen says she has not knowingly used “n” word for perhaps the past 30 yeas, however, she is under fire for having admitted to using this slur directed at blacks at all She also has admitted to wishing to have black people dressed up in white dinner jackets for a “plantation style” party she was having.

The celebrity chef’s representatives are distributing nice letters supporting the star. However, if this effort will prevent any more damage to the stars reputation, and sales remain to be seen. Deen says she is heartbroken over the incident but time will tell if she will be able to keep her remaining sponsors.

However the very suave and mature Miley Cyrus refused to add fuel to the fire. She steadfastly refused to reply back at Amanda and engage in a Twitter fight. The child actress was interviewed by Kane of Hot 99.5 radio and she said that, even though she feels sad over Amanda’s antics yet she isn’t going to reply back at her barb. She also added that she was hoping that Amanda would make a grand comeback onto the social scene but after this incident she doesn’t think so.

Social media experts say that if Miley Cyrus had responded back, as Amanda had hoped then there would have been a huge fight between the both of them, in the media glare. However Miley chose to keep mum and needless to say, this must have infuriated Amanda no end.

Both Amanda and Miley had a lot in common during their initial years but lately, they have gone their separate paths. Both were child stars and Miley has now matured into a good celebrity with maturity whereas Amanda is always on the lookout for cheap gimmicks for some publicity.

Amanda’s favorite ploy to gain publicity is to tweet about some celebrity who isn’t doing the correct thing according to her. This guarantees her immediate attention in the social media and a steady stream of new followers as well also on the social networking site Twitter. She loves to live in the public eye and is hungry for publicity of any kind.

The organization aired its fundraising telethon on the four big network TV broadcasters, but it also streamed the show on Hulu.

PETA Gets Savvy With Facebook

PETA saves animals with ad campaigns that get a lot of positive and negative attention. In recent years, though, the non-profit has become one of the savviest social media users in the world. In 2010 PETA showed that it could think way outside the box. Donna Karan New York (DKNY) had recently announced that it would start selling clothes made of real animal fur. PETA responded to this announcement with an inventive Facebook message on DKNY’s page.

By using several accounts, PETA was able to post a vertical message. The first letter of each message spelled out the phrase “DK BUNNY BUTCHER.” It took DKNY some time to realize that it had been outsmarted, and PETA earned an even bigger reputation for spreading its message in creative ways.

Diabetes Hands Foundation Raises Awareness With Twitter

The Diabetes Hands Foundation, a non-profit organization sponsored by Roche Diabetes Care, has an annual campaign that raises awareness to promote healthy lifestyle choices. The campaign also raises money for people who cannot afford diabetes supplies, such as blood glucose monitors.

On 2012 the organization launched the Big Blue Test campaign. This campaign encourages people to test their blood sugar, take a picture of their readings, and post the images on Twitter or Instagram. The participants then exercised for 14 to 20 minutes, took new pictures, and posted those images to show the positive impact that exercise has on one’s blood sugar count.

The wife of gospel Pastor and gospel singer Marvin Sapp, Malinda Sapp, has died today of colon cancer. The world is mourning this loss of such a young, beautiful woman who leaves behind Marvin Sapp and 3 children – Marvin Jr., 16, Mikaila, 13, and Madison, 11. Marvin Sapp and his wife Malinda were married for 18 years and enjoyed a quiet life in Michigan. One of the greatest past times of Malinda was to cook. She firmly believed that the heart of any home was the kitchen, and she loved to spend her time there cooking for her family and friends.

Back on Friday, January 8th, the paparazzi were waiting anxiously at the Casa Vega restaurant in Studio City, Sherman Oaks, California. Inside was none other than Miley Cyrus herself, and this dinner was right on the heels of Miley Cyrus announcing that this would be her last season of Hannah Montana.

Miley was having dinner on this fine Friday evening with some family and friends at the Casa Vega. And where they were done and ready to leave, Miley Cyrus stepped out of the restaurant and we greeted by flashing cameras.

As you can tell in some of the photos, Miley Cyrus was not too terribly pleased with the paparazzi.

Michael Douglas has a throat tumor.

A spokesperson for Michael Douglas has confirmed that a tumor has been discovered in Douglas’ throat and that eight weeks of radiation treatment and chemotherapy will follow. Doctors who are taking care of Michael Douglas report that they expect a full recovery from his treatment.

Michael Douglas is 65 years old an starred in the hit movie Wall Street.

In a statement released by Michael Douglas regarding the tumor in his throat and his treatment he said, “I am very optimistic!.”

Paul Pierce has closed 2 huge deals this week:

Celebrity names sell, and with the addition of the Arnold Palmer name to its list, AriZona Beverage Company has soared to the top of the RTD (Ready To Drink) tea charts.

For the 52 week period ending  March 21, 2010, AriZona Arnold Palmer posted a whopping 151.8 percent increase in sales over last year.  The AriZona Arnold Palmer drink had a dollar sales of over 58 million.  The other AriZona Brand tea drinks posted a 7.6 percent increase in sales over the same period last year ($587,363,500 dollars)

During the same period, Snapple, Diet Snapple, Lipton Brisk, Lipton Pureleaf, Diet Lipton, Gold Peak,  and Nestea all posted increased sales, but just plain old Lipton had a decrease of 7.3 percent.

The AriZona Beverage company has added an Arnold Palmer Half Iced Tea and Half Lemonade flavor mix to its Tea Stix line.  According to the company, each stick contains only 5 calories.  The mix can be added to 16 and 20 ounce bottles of water.

I’m not one who subscribes to celebrity gossip, but every now and then I find a story that reinstates a sense of  “there’s hope for Hollywood” after all.  I found this story to be quite refreshing.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, in an effort to halt rumors that there is trouble in their marriage,  plan to renew their vows over the weekend.

The couple, seen on their show “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood” – have downplayed any talk of a split. Appearing on the “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Spelling said, “There is no divorce in our future, at all.”

McDermott and Spelling met while in Canada filming the TV movie “Mind Over Murder.” They have two children –  Liam, 3, and Stella, who turns 2 this summer.  One could only hope that they are not just doing it, “for the children” or “for the show”… but because they truly love each other.

The date the couple has chosen marks three years since they tied the knot on a private island in Fiji.  That event was attended only by the barefoot bride and groom.   Spelling says that they have invited close friends and family to an intimate gathering in the Los Angeles-area on Saturday.

Tori will release her third book in June.  The title is rumored to be, “Uncharted terriTORI.”

Dancing With The Stars Ratings Plummet, Kate Gosselin Impact

Huffington Post is reporting that the ABC TV show Dancing With The Stars continues to struggle with their ratings in the post-Kate era.

Dancing With The Stars has logged its lowest rating performance of the entire season.

ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” dropped another 9 percent to a 4.0/11 in 18-49s, its lowest total of the season. Since Kate Gosselin exited two weeks ago, the show is down a full 17 percent. Still, averaging 19.4 million viewers, “Dancing” led ABC to a win in total audience for the night.

So what does this mean for Dancing With The Stars, and what does this say about TV viewers?

It seems like TV viewers are more inclined to watch people who are not celebrities – although Kate Gosselin could possibly now be considered a celebrity.

But viewers seem to be more attracted to people who have a real story behind them – no matter how bizarre the story might be.

Kate Gosselin got eliminated from Dancing With The Stars back on April 20th, and ever since that day, the ABC TV show has continued a downward spiral that ultimately resulted in the lowest ratings of the season last night.

A confidential investigation has learned that Obama first became close to gorgeous 35 year-oldVERA BAKER in 2004 when she worked tirelessly to get him elected to the US Senate, raising millions in campaign contributions.

While Baker has insisted in the past that “nothing happened” between them, the ENQUIRER has learned that top anti-Obama operatives are offering more than $1 million to witnesses to reveal what they know about the alleged hush-hush affair.

Among those being offered money is a limo driver who says that he took Vera to a secret hotel rendezvous where the President was staying.

On the condition of anonymity, the limo driver said he took Baker “from a friend’s home in the DC area to the Hotel George where I learned later that Obama would be spending the night.”

The driver recalled that he “waited in the lobby while she went to change her outfit.

“But to the best of my knowledge she did not have a room at the hotel and she was not staying there so I thought that it was a bit odd.”

The driver said he then picked up Obama at the airport and drove both he and Baker to various locations while he was campaigning for funds.  Vera accompanied him to each meeting.

“About 10:30 PM, I drove them to the hotel and they went in together!”

“My services for the evening were done – and there was no indication she was going to leave the hotel that night.”

A top DC source told The ENQUIRER exclusively that the driver’s account had been independently corroborated by investigators who believe the couple spent the night together at the hotel.

The ENQUIRER has also learned that on-site hotel surveillance video camera footage could provide indisputable evidence.

“Investigators are attempting to obtain a tape from the hotel (that) shows Vera and Barack together,” the DC insider confided.

“If the tape surfaces, it will explode the scandal.”

Ron Burkle Donates $50,000 To Celebrity Apprentice

During last night’s Celebrity Apprentice, team project manager Holly Robinson Peete was working the phones trying to raise enough money to beat out the opposition.

With only seconds to spare in the competition, Ron Burkle decided to step in, step up, and make a massive donation in the amount of $50,000 to Holly Robinson Peete’s team.

The team was in fund raising mode to create a fitness class for 24 Hour Fitness, and the $50,000 donation allowed Peete’s team to raise over $200,000.

Ron Burkle is a self made billionaire who owns a firm called the Yucaipa group of Companies. Mr. Burkle is often the central focus of many gossip columns and political donation scandal discussions.

Regardless of the negative publicity that seems to follow Ron Burkle, there is no question about his business tenacity and ability to generate revenue.

So the $50,000 donation from Ron Burkle certainly was nothing for the billionaire to contribute, but it made all the difference in the world to the Celebrity Apprentice team that was trying to raise the money.

According to People.com, Brett Michaels situation has “taken a turn for the worse.” People is reporting that Brett Michaels was experiencing massive head pain and headaches late Thursday night when the Rocker turned reality TV star was then rushed to an undisclosed hospital.

Brett Michaels was immediately admitted to the intensive care unit and was diagnosed with suffering a subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding at the base of his brain stem).

At only 47 years old, Brett Michaels is reportedly in critical condition, and according to sources close to the matter:

“After several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, [doctors] decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause. [It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation.”

Sorry ladies, I know that you all want to be Justin Bieber’s girlfriend, as is evident by the massive commenting about being Justin Bieber’s girlfriend on my blog.

But you’ll have to get in line behind two ladies that Justin Bieber has already said that he wants to date.

Justin Bieber wants to date Beyonce and Kim Kardashian..

I think though that Beyonce and Kim Kardashian are both like at least 20 years older than Justin Bieber, so they might not quite be interested in the young pop star.

But then again, from the responses that Justin Bieber receives from his worldwide fans, maybe they would re-consider dating Justin Bieber just this once.

Ladies all over the world wish they were Justin Bieber’s girlfriend. Many young ladies will stand in line all night long, endure inclement weather, and and go with out sleep just for the opportunity to get only one photo with the pop super star.

According to MTV, Justin Bieber was asked whether he had any celebrity crushes and the 16-year old said: “I can pick any girl… I’m gonna take Meagan Good. I’m gonna take Kim Kardashian. And Beyoncé.”

And so there you have it, Meagan Good, Kim Kardashian and Beyonce.

Out of hundreds of millions of fans that wish they could be dating Justin Bieber, these are the three that he expresses an interest in.

Like I said before, this by no means implies that any of these three ladies are even remotely interested in 16 year old Justin Bieber.

One thing is for sure with Justin Bieber, he seems to prefer older women.

As much as I hate to see people disappointed, Kate Gosselin must be feeling pretty low at the moment.

I mean, what does it feel like when you are rejected by Hugh Hefner and the Playboy organization?

Kate Gosselin is definitely getting a lot of exposure on television and tabloids, but Playboy is one place she won’t be getting exposure (not pun intended…).

Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy, turned down the mother of 8 kids’ offer to be in Playboy magazine.

Hugh Hefner, when asked about Kate Gosselin, said that “I don’t think she’s a celebrity.”

So apparently, in order to be included in the archives of Playboy magazine, you need to be a star?

I don’t think that is 100% true because I’m sure there are a long list of “stars” that have been rejected from Playboy.

Kenny Chesney was on the Oprah show Friday and unfortunately for him, Oprah is extremely good at what she does.

So in typical Oprah style, she started digging deep on the country music star and started asking about why his marriage to Renee Zellweger lasted a mere 4 months.

He said, “that and the fact that I panicked.” Then he started talking about “the box” in which he put everything he values, like his friends and musical success, and how he worked to “protect it… I protected that box.”

So, Oprah asked, where was his marriage to Renee?

“Well, it was out.. out of the box!”, he exclaimed with a maniacal laugh. But he did call Renee a “sweet soul.”

Chesney then said he still hoped to be married, but “felt that the idea of marriage made me lose my identity… I just don’t know that I’ve found anybody bigger than that.”

Well, at least Kenny Chesney is honest.

And it sounds like there is just a bit too much selfishness inside the good ol’ boy to really settle down with anyone for a successful marriage.

Not that I’m judging Kenny Chesney or anything – but you cannot live in a “this is my box and everything in it is mine” mentality and expect a marriage to work.

Thus, Kenny Chesney’s marriage lasted a whoping 4 months!

According to The National Enquirer, Raychel Coudriet, now a 22-year-old grad student at a state university in the south, had a torrid one-night stand with the cheating champion that left her “shaken and humiliated,” says one of her close friends.
