HTC announces the HTC Wildfire

During a press conference yesterday in London HTC announced the HTC Wildfire. The HTC Wildfire is marketed towards a younger audience, with social networking being tightly integrated into the phone user interface. The HTC Wildfire will feature a Friend Stream application that aggregates & displays updates from Facebook,Twitter & Flicker. The HTC Wildfire will have a 3.2 inch touch screen display, Android 2.1, a 5.0 megapixel camera,a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a 525 MHz processor,Wi-Fi,Bluetooth,512MB of Flash memory, 384 MB RAM & expandable microSD storage. The HTC Wildfire will be available in Asia & European markets in the third quarter of 2010.  Mobileburn has managed to get a hand’s on video of the handset. The video show’s off some of the handset’s user interface and it’s features.

  • The HTC wildfire looks like a great phone but personally I don't think it would be worth the trouble of being in a contract just for the phone. I would rather be on Net10 prepaid which has a good selection of phones that come with 300 minutes free as well as 2 months service. For thos of you like me who text a fair amount text only cost 5 cents each.
