As a WordPress fan who would never consider switching to Blogger, I must say that I was a bit shocked at the news that Google’s Blogger has been voted the most reliable blogging platform.
This is according to a study conducted by Royal Pingdom that found Blogger was the only service that achieved zero downtime overall.
Here’s a quote from the study conducted by Royal Pingdom:
“Since Blogger was the only service with zero downtime overall, we skipped the chart here. We hope you don’t mind. It simply wouldn’t have been very interesting.”
Ironically enough, the blogging platform with the most downtime is none other than Tumblr.
This report is great for Blogger, and not so great for Tumblr.
Here’s the complete ranking:
- Blogger
- WordPress.com
- Typepad
- Posterous
- Tumblr
