Instagram is starting to roll out online profiles that look like Facebook. If you remember, Instagram was acquired by Facebook this past September for $715 million so it wasn’t too much of a shock that they made Instagram into a Facebook style layout for non-mobile browsing. It makes you wonder if it’s going to take off or if it’s going to be another lost social network. It seems as though Facebook thought it was the most logical path to capture mobile and non-mobile. The majority of Flickr visitors get there through a computer browser rather than a mobile device so this is a win win for Instagram to try and capture some of that market.
