Prevention tips – How to Contain Coronavirus disease

The coronavirus is rapidly spreading all over the world. In order not to get infected or infect others around you, there are some prevention tips to slow down the spreading of the disease.

Basic prevention tips

A person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own face.

Wash your hands often with soap and warm water at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. Also, use hand sanitizers.

If you are feeling sick, you should avoid close contact with people and public transportation, as well as with pets.

Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue and throw the used tissue. Immediately wash your hands.

Moreover, if you are sick wear a mask around people and before you enter a healthcare facility. If you are not able to wear a mask, then you should do your best to cover your coughs and sneezes.

If you are not sick, then you don’t need to wear a mask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.

Clean and disinfect your living area, especially frequently touched surfaces.

When it comes to children, they are not at high risk, but you can encourage your child to help stop the spread of the coronavirus by teaching them the same things everyone is doing to stay healthy.

If you are taking care of someone else, you should also follow these basic prevention tips, and call your healthcare provider if you notice any symptoms.

You can help a patient follow their doctor’s instructions for medication and care, help with basic needs and provide support.

Monitor the patient’s symptoms and also stay separated from the patient as much as possible. The space should have a good air flow.

Furthermore, use disposable facemasks and gloves around the patient and after use, place them in a lined container before disposing.

Wash your laundry thoroughly and clean frequently touched surfaces like counters, doorknobs, tabletops, toiles, phones, keyboards, etc.

Ma sure you wash your hands frequently with soap and water.

Although the virus is spreading fast, if you stick to these tips, you and your loved ones will be safe.
