After two years of being flown to and from Germany for emergency procedures due to kidney failure the Nigerian President, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, is dead. This goes to show that most of Africa still has a long way to go on the health care front not to mention the human rights front. There are mixed feelings in Nigeria about the Muslim president. He was elected in what is suspected to be fixed elections. Fixed elections are a common happenstance all around the globe and in some areas an accepted way of life.
