As Sprint’s 4G WiMAX continues to expand, now covering 54 cities across the US, so are the mobile products that can leverage the 4G internet speed. Toshiba has announced today that a new lineup of laptops are on the way that are 4G enabled. Toshiba plans to take advantage of the 4G WiMAX network to provide faster data connections for mobile internet users.
Toshiba made the following statement regarding the 4G WiMAX enabled laptops:
“A WiMAX-equipped laptop gives on-the-go consumers the connection speeds they’re used to in the office or at home without the need for additional hardware,” said Carl Pinto, vice president of product development, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division. “We are expanding our effort to provide more WiMAX-ready laptops to our line as mobile connectivity becomes even more essential for productivity and digital entertainment.”
