So you logged into your Facebook profile and maybe saw a few changes? That’s because Facebook redesigned their their pages.
Facebook is making changes because they state that “one of our main priorities is helping you stay on top of what is going on with the people and things you care about most,” says Facebook on their blog.
Facebook’s blog update goes on to say, “You will be able to catch up on what you may have missed while you were away from Facebook and then easily switch to the real-time stream when you want to see posts as soon as they’re shared.”
There are 3 main updates that occurred: 1) There is no more “highlights section, which I believe is to free up space for advertisers, 2) the new “News Feed” that shows the most recent featured items as determined by Facebook’s algorithm of importance, and 3) the new “Live Feed” that shows up to the minute updates pertaining to your friends.
