On Wednesday, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev stated on state TV channel Rossiya 1 that Russia intends to recover the wreckage of the drone, which was downed over the Black Sea. He acknowledged that it might not be an easy task, but Russia is determined to do it. The US currently does not have any Navy ships in the Black Sea, making any attempted US recovery effort extremely challenging and time-consuming.

The incident occurred around 45 miles southwest of the Crimean peninsula, and the MQ-9 glided approximately 70 miles southwest of Crimea after the encounter. The Russian Ambassador to the US, Anatoly Antonov, denied the US’ account of the incident, stating that the MQ-9 “flew with its transponders off, violating the boundaries of the temporary airspace” and that Russian aircraft did not come into contact with it.

On Wednesday, the Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov defended Russia’s position, emphasizing that no weapons were used, and there was no physical contact. Peskov described the US-Russia relationship as deplorable and at its lowest point and confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin was briefed on the incident.

The US’s top general, Joint Chiefs Chair Gen. Mark Milley, is expected to speak with his Russian counterpart, Chief of Russian General Staff Gen. Valery Gerasimov, on Wednesday. The two military leaders have not spoken since late December.

Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council, interpreted the incident as a signal of Putin’s willingness to expand the conflict zone with the involvement of other parties. He commented, “The all-in tactic is the constant raising of rates in conditions of a strategic loss and hoping that circumstances would change.”

The decision was announced Saturday morning after WHO convened its second emergency committee on the issue on Thursday.

What are Monkeypox Symptoms?

According to the CDC website, Monkeypox is a rare disease caused by infection with the monkeypox virus. Monkeypox virus is part of the same family of viruses as smallpox. Monkeypox symptoms are similar to smallpox symptoms, but milder; and monkeypox is rarely fatal. Monkeypox is not related to chickenpox.

Symptoms of monkeypox can include:

Monkeypox Vaccine Information

• Two vaccines licensed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are available for preventing monkeypox infection – JYNNEOS (also known as Imvamune or Imvanex) and ACAM2000.
• In the United States, there is currently a limited supply of JYNNEOS, although more is expected in coming weeks and months.
• There is an ample supply of ACAM2000. However, this vaccine should not be used in people who have some health conditions, including a weakened immune system, skin conditions like atopic dermatitis/eczema, or pregnancy.
• No data are available yet on the effectiveness of these vaccines in the current outbreak.
• People are considered fully vaccinated about 2 weeks after their second shot of JYNNEOS and 4 weeks after receiving ACAM2000. However, people who get vaccinated should continue to take steps to protect themselves from infection by avoiding close, skin-to-skin contact, including intimate contact, with someone who has monkeypox.
• To better understand the protective benefits of these vaccines in the current outbreak, CDC will collect data on any side effects and whether the way the person was infected makes any difference in how well the vaccine protects them.

Epic implemented its payment system in the Android version of Fortnite as well. Google took similar action and removed the game from the Play Store.

However, Android users are still able to download Fortnite using Epic’s app launcher. Unfortunately, on iOS, the App Store is the only way to legitimately load apps.

Furthermore, for a virus to pass to a person through a mosquito or other kind of insect bite, the virus must be able to replicate inside the mosquito.

How is a virus transmitting from mosquito?

Namely, the mosquito would have to pick up the requisite amount of virus during its bite.

The virus must then not only survive the digestive process. But also, replicate within the mosquito. And, pass through the gut wall to the coelom (main body cavity) of the mosquito.

From there it must make its way to the salivary glands. So, it can be expressed by the mosquito as part of its salivary secretions.

Additionally, mosquitoes are very genetically different from humans. We have different receptors on the surface of cells and different replication machinery inside our cells.

Relatively few human viruses have the ability to infect both humans and mosquitoes.

Many human viruses have been infecting humans for a long time, and they are still unable to infect mosquitos.

Conversely, there are many mosquito viruses that are unable to infect humans, or any mammals.

Shooting of Lil Marlo

Atlanta police confirmed with FOX 5 that they were called to a single-vehicle accident on I-285 near the Benjamin E. Mays Drive overpass around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Furthermore, when they got to the scene, officers found a 30-year-old driver dead inside the vehicle. TMZ is reporting that the driver was Rudolph Johnson, also known as Lil Marlo.

Officials say that Johnson was shot and was believed to be the target of the gunfire. However, they are still determining what’s going on.

They are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Anyhow, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed on Sunday that Mr. Johnson had been killed.

The shooting came amid a rash of gun violence in Atlanta in recent weeks. Following a turbulent period of protests against the police killings of Rayshard Brooks there and George Floyd in Minneapolis

Quality Control Music announced the death of Lil Marlo in a social media post. They are saying he will be remembered as a man of great talent who feared nothing.

In addition, rapper Lil Yachty, said on Instagram that he was just in the studio that day with him. He is on the same record label as Johnson.

Biography of the Rapper

Rudolph Simmons Johnson was born on May 1, 1990, and raised in Bowen Homes. It is one of Atlanta’s most notorious and crime-ridden housing projects, which was demolished in 2009 after a string of killings.

Lil Marlo turned to music relatively late in life, hoping to escape what he referred to as “the streets”. That is a world of guns and drug-dealing that had surrounded him as he was raised in some of Atlanta’s most neglected neighborhoods.

Johnson joined Quality Control Music in 2017 alongside rappers Migos, Lil Yachty, and his collaborator Lil Baby.

Moreover, Lil Marlo emerged in 2017 collaborating with rapper Lil Baby on “2 The Hard Way.” earlier this year. Therefore, the up-and-coming rapper released his project “1st & 3rd” featuring Future, Gucci Mane and Lil Baby.

Case of Bubonic Plague in China

China’s Global Times reported that health officials in Bayannur said a farmer as sickened and hospitalized but is in a stable condition.

The city also raised its alert level for bubonic plague illness. Additionally, they told residents to not hunt wild animals, to report any sick or dead marmots and to report any person showing possible signs of infection.

At the moment, the health officials are not considering it a high risk. However, they are watching it and monitoring it carefully.

Reuters reported that the alert level was at its second lowest in a four level system.

According to Reuters, the warning follows four suspected cases of plague in Inner Mongolia last November, including two cases of pneumonic plague.

Anyhow, the authorities banned hunting, skinning and transportation of rodents that might carry the bubonic plague bacteria.

Moreover, last year, a Mongolian couple died from the bubonic plague after eating raw marmot meat.

Over the past year, China has reported five cases of the disease associated with some of the deadliest pandemics in human history.

History of the disease and its symptoms

Bubonic plague is one of three forms of the infectious disease caused by the Yersinia pestis bacteria.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, bubonic plague is usually contracted after an infected flea bite.

Furthermore, one to seven days after the exposure to the bacteria, flu-like symptoms develop.

Symptoms of bubonic plague can include fever, headache, chills, weakness and swollen lymph nodes. The bacteria can spread to other parts of the body if untreated.

Swollen and painful lymph nodes occur in the area closest to where the bacteria entered the skin.

Although tied to historic pandemics like the Black Death, plague illnesses do still occur around the world and in the United States every year, though they are rare.

Since the mid-twentieth century, this is under control.

Several modern antibiotics have significantly lowered plagues’ mortality rate. In addition, vaccines seem to not be very useful for the prevention of this plague.

While plague is entirely unrelated to the new coronavirus, the warning from officials in Bayannur comes as China has gone weeks without reporting a new death from the virus.

Moreover, she allegedly attempted to befriend them. And, she and Epstein built the friendships by taking minor victims to the cinema or shopping.

Having built a rapport, Ms Maxwell would try to normalise sexual abuse for a minor victim by discussing sexual topics. With undressing in front of the victim. Apart from that she was present when a minor victim was undressed. And was present for sex acts involving the minor victim and Epstein.

History of the case

Allegations against Epstein had dated back years before the parents of a 14-year-old girl said he had molested her in 2005.

Some of Epstein’s victims are accusing Ms Maxwell of bringing them into his circle to be sexually active by him and his friends.

Ghislaine Maxwell has denied any wrongdoing

Anyhow, Epstein died in prison on 10 August as he awaited, without the chance of bail, his trial on sex trafficking charges.

With his arrest and running a network of underage girls, Epstein went into prison last year. They determined his death as suicide.

Numerous victims in civil and criminal cases had identified Ghislaine Maxwell as the lead person who groomed them and delivered to Epstein. Legal experts say as a charged co-conspirator, Ms Maxwell is just as liable for Epstein’s crimes and faces the same potential punishment. He said that the objective is to slow down the Arizona coronavirus spread. Moreover, he believes the state can get infection levels back to where they were during the lifting of restrictions.

Schools in Arizona

Arizona Schools Chief Kathy Hoffman, statement said she supports the two-week delay in sending students back to class.

Gabriel Trujilo, TUSD Superintendent, said Tucson Unified is preparing an emergency plan to transition the entire district online if the health crisis necessitates it. He is unsure how school will receive funding if they ceased to offer in-person instruction.

Second stimulus check

Millions of Americans have lost their jobs in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, while countless more are grappling with income insecurity.

Thankfully, the CARES Act has already provided relief in the form of $1,200 stimulus payments.

On the other hand, many Americans feel one stimulus check was not enough, and are waiting for a second stimulus check.

Unfortunately though, efforts to get that money into Americans’ hands have thus far been unsuccessful.

The Democrat-proposed HEROES Act, which calls for second stimulus check, is currently on the wait in the Senate.

Additionally, considering that Republican lawmakers have been vocal in their opposition to it, it is unlikely to get votes.

Of course, that is just one proposal that is out there. Moreover, it is still possible that Americans will see another relief package introduced in the coming weeks.

President Trump indicated that he expects a generous stimulus bill to pass sometime in July. But whether that bill includes an actual stimulus payment is not sure.

Reasons for not getting a second check

Here are three reasons why a second stimulus check may not be a part of it.

The first reason is that unemployment fell.

In April, the US jobless rate hit 14,7%.

In May the numbers came to 13,3% and that data alone could drive lawmakers to oppose a second check. This is on the basis that things are improving and it therefore is not necessary.

Secondly, many states are reopening. Therefore, more and more jobs are likely to add as businesses come back to life.

Anyway, it is easy to make the argument that a second stimulus check is not necessary.

The third reason is that the relief money could be earmarked for other purposes.

There has been a lot of focus on second stimulus check ever since it became evident that the initial round was not enough.

A man identified as Robert Fuller is on Wednesday hanging from a tree near Palmdale City Hall in California.

They hope that the claims would drop below one million per week by the end of May, but this possibility remains uncertain.

To stem the flow of layoffs, Congress created the $349 billion Paycheck Protection Act. This gives companies money if they retain or rehire workers.

The fund ran out of money in just two weeks and the Senate approved a bill this week to replenish it.

Additionally, as more and more workers lose jobs, many states are struggling. Meaning the trust funds used to pay unemployment benefits begin to run low.

The Wall Street Journal reported that nearly half the states said that they had seen decline in their funds.

New York, which has spent half of its fund, has asked for a $4 billion no-interest loan from the federal government. In order to cover unemployment benefits. More than a million people in the state have lost their jobs.

Massachusetts says its fund is also down by half since mid-February, and California has seen a 40% decline.

How long will coronavirus last?

Experts suggested the COVID-19 outbreak will last between 18 and 24 months. The pandemic likely will not be halted until 60% to 70% of the population is immune.

The worst scenario includes a larger wave of coronavirus infections this fall and winter. States need to prepare for this.

The pandemic may last until 2022.

Anyhow, Michael Osterholm and his colleagues examined multiple models that predict future coronavirus impacts. They included research about how well COVID-19 spreads between people, and data from past pandemics to reach their conclusions.

The coronavirus pandemic is similar to the Spanish flu pandemic. Both the influenza pandemic and COVID-19 spread through droplets when coughing or sneezing and can pass between infected people showing no symptoms.

However, experts are still not sure what to expect.

Report’s authors say that they do not know how long will the coronavirus last and how to control and stop this pandemic.

Three possible scenarios

Osterholm’s group came up with three possible scenarios about what might come after this first wave of coronavirus infections ends.

In the first scenario, the first COVID-19 waves are followed by a series of repetitive, smaller waves that occur through the summer. Those waves, which come with a lower number of infections. Also, which will persist over a one- to two-year period, gradually diminishing sometime in 2021.

Moreover, where those smaller waves occur depend on what measures certain geographic areas would enforce.

The second, most likely and worst of them, is where the first wave is followed by a larger wave in the fall or winter of 2020. Additionally it will be followed by one or more smaller waves in 2021.

A second wave with more infections would require countries to reinstitute mitigation measures.

Finally, the third scenario suggests that the first wave of coronavirus infections is the only wave.

In the coming months, the COVID-19 pandemic would shift into a “slow burn” of ongoing transmission and new cases.

This possibility means that countries likely would not need to lockdown again. However, cases and deaths would continue to occur.

Each projection could be influenced by the development of a vaccine, but it is unknown how long will the coronavirus last.

Development of the Coronavirus antibiotic

Over the past few months, scientists have been working hard on developing a coronavirus antibiotic. One of the vaccine formulas appears to have provided protection against the disease COVID-19 in six rhesus macaque monkeys.

This news gives hope for the vaccine, which is now undergoing human clinical trials.

However, there is no guarantee that this result will translate to people.

Anyhow, a group of monkeys was exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The six animals that were vaccinated had less of the virus in their lungs and airways.

The trial took place in the US, involving researchers from the US government’s National Institutes of Health (NIH) and from the University of Oxford.

Rhesus macaques have similar immune systems to humans.

In addition, the coronavirus vaccine appeared to protect the animals against developing pneumonia.

Promisingly, the animals also did not develop “immune-enhanced disease”. Fergus Walsh, a BBC medical correspondent, described it as a “theoretical risk”. That is when the vaccine triggers a worse response to a disease.

Furthermore, this response was seen in some early animal vaccine trials against SARS – another coronavirus – and proved a stumbling block in developing a vaccine for that disease.

Human trials

Even though the study has not yet been reviewed by other scientists and formally published, Prof Stephen Evans at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine said it was encouraging and of high-quality.

Meanwhile, trials in the UK on more than 1,000 human volunteers are currently taking place through the University of Oxford.

There are more than 100 experimental coronavirus vaccines currently being developed.

Dr Penny Ward, a visiting professor in pharmaceutical medicine at King’s College London, said it was “helpful” to see that the coronavirus vaccine did not cause a worse disease response in these monkeys.

Namely, the coronavirus vaccine is based on a small part of the virus’s distinctive “spike”. The idea is that by getting the body to recognize a unique part of the virus, when it is exposed to the whole thing it will know how to react, and produce the right antibodies to defend itself.

That did seem to be happening to the vaccinated macaques, which produced antibodies capable of fighting the virus.
