Sarah Palin and the NRA in Charlotte
The National Rifle Association’s annual meeting, in Charlotte, North Carolina, will headline a host of conservative leaders with the featured speaker being Sarah Palin. Palin is an NRA member who has drawn praise from the group for supporting gun rights.
The former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican candidate for vice president is scheduled to speak Friday. That session will also include actor Chuck Norris, U.S. Rep. Mike Pence and Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour.
At least 70,000 attendees are expected at the weekend’s events, which will include speeches from conservative commentator Glenn Back and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
