Yesterday during a press event Verizon & Samsung Mobile USA announced the Samsung Fascinate Verizon’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S. The Samsung Fascinate will have a 4.0-inch Super AMOLED touch screen, running Android 2.1, a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, 5.0-megapixel camera with flash & HD video recording, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 2GB of internal memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD & 3.5 mm headphone jack. The Samsung Fascinate will have Google’s mobile services such as Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk & the Android Market. The Samsung Fascinate will feature Samsung’s Social Hub, which will integrate social network updates, SMS messages, email, contacts & calendar updates. The handset will have Verizon’s VCAST Music service, VCAST video on demand, VCAST Song ID, visual voice mail, VCAST Tones, VZ Navigator & Mobile IM. The Samsung Fascinate will come pre-loaded with Bing Maps & Bing Search, which make me wonder if Google Search & Google Maps will be an option. The press release didn’t state when the Samsung Fascinate will be available or the price of the handset. So what do you think of the Samsung Fascinate?
