This is something I’ve never seen before. A list of Google’s top 10 advertisers, ranked by their click spend or how much they spend per year on keywords that drive clicks.

It’s amazing to think how staggering the number of keywords are that ecommerce sites like Amazon must be spending money on.
For each product that Amazon sells, they more than likely run a keyword campaign. If for nothing else, so that Amazon builds the brand name associated with those products.
Equally interesting is the wide range of industries that are represented. In just the top 3, you have ecommerce, financials, and telecommunications. This puts Google in as very strong position for the long term knowing that the search ad industry is not dependent on any one single industry.
