A new survey has shown the Facebook and Instagram are the top choice of mobile users in the US. App Annie’s survey was done by parsing app session data from various countries like US, Germany, Japan, South Korea and England. Instagram and Facebook are the most favorite apps for US mobile users, whereas Germans and Brits love using WhatsApp for one on one chats with their friends. Line is the most popular app in South Korea and Japan, the survey claims.
The survey also showed the popularity of the Google Chrome app around the world. Google Chrome app is the second most used app in the US. This depicts the massive shift from desktop to mobile.
The survey claims that mobile app revenues surged by 70% in just one year over the period between 2013 and 2014. More than 64% of the Americans now have smartphones.
