Mosquito season is upon us, and the question is can mosquito transmit coronavirus.

Can mosquito transmit coronavirus?

It is unlikely that mosquito can transmit coronavirus. Official guidance from the World Health Organization says there is no information or evidence. Therefore, new coronavirus could not be transmitting through mosquito bites.

Firstly, the coronavirus is a respiratory virus. And, the main means of transmission are viral droplets released into the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

For a mosquito to become infected with a virus, it must be present in the blood the mosquito feeds on.

COVID-19 is a respiratory virus that is almost exclusively contained within the lungs and respiratory tract of infected people. Moreover, it rarely gets into the blood.

Furthermore, for a virus to pass to a person through a mosquito or other kind of insect bite, the virus must be able to replicate inside the mosquito.

Neither the new nor any other type of coronavirus is know to cause that.

How is a virus transmitting from mosquito?

Namely, the mosquito would have to pick up the requisite amount of virus during its bite.

The virus must then not only survive the digestive process. But also, replicate within the mosquito. And, pass through the gut wall to the coelom (main body cavity) of the mosquito.

From there it must make its way to the salivary glands. So, it can be expressed by the mosquito as part of its salivary secretions.

Additionally, mosquitoes are very genetically different from humans. We have different receptors on the surface of cells and different replication machinery inside our cells.

Relatively few human viruses have the ability to infect both humans and mosquitoes.

Many human viruses have been infecting humans for a long time, and they are still unable to infect mosquitos.

Conversely, there are many mosquito viruses that are unable to infect humans, or any mammals.

Viruses that’s able to affect humans by mosquitoes include West Nile virus. Also, there’s a virus that causes dengue fever, and chikungunya virus.

To conclude, you shouldn’t worry about a mosquito transmitting coronavirus.

However, we must remain cautious. Studies have shown that factors contributing to potentially serious or fatal outcomes attendant to COVID-19 infection involve underlying medical issues.

For example, neurologic conditions that weaken the ability to cough or an already stressed immune system due to concurrent infection by mosquito-borne viruses

Separation after 20 years of marriage

Darius Rucker stated on his Instagram that they remained close friends and parenting partners. Additionally, they will continue to motivate one another. Their priority will always be their beautiful family.

Rucker, who has won multiple Grammy Awards with rockers Hootie & the Blowfish as well as for his solo country music work, got support from fellow musicians and more after the announcement.

His close friend Brad Paisley said, “Love to you.”

Rascal Flatts guitarist Joe Don Rooney wrote, “Nothing but love to y’all.”

Moreover, Jake Owen said, “Love to you and your family man.”

TMZ is reporting that a rapper from Atlanta, Lil Marlo, was found shot to death. Everything took place late Saturday night on Interstate 285.

Shooting of Lil Marlo

Atlanta police confirmed with FOX 5 that they were called to a single-vehicle accident on I-285 near the Benjamin E. Mays Drive overpass around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Furthermore, when they got to the scene, officers found a 30-year-old driver dead inside the vehicle. TMZ is reporting that the driver was Rudolph Johnson, also known as Lil Marlo.

Officials say that Johnson was shot and was believed to be the target of the gunfire. However, they are still determining what’s going on.

They are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Anyhow, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed on Sunday that Mr. Johnson had been killed.

The shooting came amid a rash of gun violence in Atlanta in recent weeks. Following a turbulent period of protests against the police killings of Rayshard Brooks there and George Floyd in Minneapolis

Quality Control Music announced the death of Lil Marlo in a social media post. They are saying he will be remembered as a man of great talent who feared nothing.

In addition, rapper Lil Yachty, said on Instagram that he was just in the studio that day with him. He is on the same record label as Johnson.

Biography of the Rapper

Rudolph Simmons Johnson was born on May 1, 1990, and raised in Bowen Homes. It is one of Atlanta’s most notorious and crime-ridden housing projects, which was demolished in 2009 after a string of killings.

Lil Marlo turned to music relatively late in life, hoping to escape what he referred to as “the streets”. That is a world of guns and drug-dealing that had surrounded him as he was raised in some of Atlanta’s most neglected neighborhoods.

Johnson joined Quality Control Music in 2017 alongside rappers Migos, Lil Yachty, and his collaborator Lil Baby.

Moreover, Lil Marlo emerged in 2017 collaborating with rapper Lil Baby on “2 The Hard Way.” earlier this year. Therefore, the up-and-coming rapper released his project “1st & 3rd” featuring Future, Gucci Mane and Lil Baby.

Though not a presence on the Billboard charts, he represented a distinct strain of cult-favorite regional rapper and connector, especially in Atlanta

TMZ says that Lil Marlo is survived by a daughter and a son.

Local health authorities in China’s Inner Mongolia region announced a suspected positive case of bubonic plague Sunday.

Case of Bubonic Plague in China

China’s Global Times reported that health officials in Bayannur said a farmer as sickened and hospitalized but is in a stable condition.

The city also raised its alert level for bubonic plague illness. Additionally, they told residents to not hunt wild animals, to report any sick or dead marmots and to report any person showing possible signs of infection.

At the moment, the health officials are not considering it a high risk. However, they are watching it and monitoring it carefully.

Reuters reported that the alert level was at its second lowest in a four level system.

According to Reuters, the warning follows four suspected cases of plague in Inner Mongolia last November, including two cases of pneumonic plague.

Anyhow, the authorities banned hunting, skinning and transportation of rodents that might carry the bubonic plague bacteria.

Moreover, last year, a Mongolian couple died from the bubonic plague after eating raw marmot meat.

Over the past year, China has reported five cases of the disease associated with some of the deadliest pandemics in human history.

History of the disease and its symptoms

Bubonic plague is one of three forms of the infectious disease caused by the Yersinia pestis bacteria.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, bubonic plague is usually contracted after an infected flea bite.

Furthermore, one to seven days after the exposure to the bacteria, flu-like symptoms develop.

Symptoms of bubonic plague can include fever, headache, chills, weakness and swollen lymph nodes. The bacteria can spread to other parts of the body if untreated.

Swollen and painful lymph nodes occur in the area closest to where the bacteria entered the skin.

Although tied to historic pandemics like the Black Death, plague illnesses do still occur around the world and in the United States every year, though they are rare.

Since the mid-twentieth century, this is under control.

Several modern antibiotics have significantly lowered plagues’ mortality rate. In addition, vaccines seem to not be very useful for the prevention of this plague.

While plague is entirely unrelated to the new coronavirus, the warning from officials in Bayannur comes as China has gone weeks without reporting a new death from the virus.

Streaming sensation and World of Warcraft pro Byron “Reckful” Bernstein died on Thursday at age 31.

Sudden death of Bryon Reckful Bernstein

The World of Warcraft community is now short on one member, professional player Reckful.

His death was confirmed by his girlfriend, who said he committed suicide.

In addition, many of his fans expressed their grief on social media.

Reckful had almost a million Twitch followers and amassed more than 250,000 YouTube subscribers.

Namely, he was known for broaching sensitive subjects in his online communications, something that endeared him to his many followers.

Reckful was best-known for his World of Warcraft streams on Twitch. Furthermore, he was attempting to launch his own video game, Everland, later this year.

His sudden death raised some alarms with social media posts on Thursday.

Twitch said Reckful was a “streaming pioneer” and that it was “devastated” to hear of his death.

Mr Bernstein had built his following in part by playing World Of Warcraft.

Reasons for his suicide

Anyhow, in January, he shared a video on YouTube in which he talked about his own struggle with depression and said he had lost one of his brothers to suicide.

A Twitch statement stated that Reckful was someone who talked about his struggles to help make room for others to the same.

Additionally, by processing this loss, we have to recognize that the stigma around mental health and treatment often prevents people from seeking and getting help.

His former partner, a gamer known as Becca, said – in a blog post – that Reckful was “amazing”.

She added that we need better support for those with mental needs. She remembers Byron telling her how traumatised he was when the authorities called on him for being at risk of suicide.

Anyone that knew him knew how much it scared and affected him. This can not be how people feel about the places that should be keeping them safe.

For some, this was also a way to raise awareness of the stigma surrounding mental health. Reckful had openly discussed his personal struggles on his platform.

Today, many prominent members of the gaming community are talking about how people need to be kinder to each other. Furthermore, they are questioning what more needs to done to help people with their mental health.

British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, has been charged in the US after being arrested by the FBI. She is an ex-girlfriend of convicted padophile Jeffrey Epstein,

Ghislaine Maxwell charges

Ghislaine Maxwell was probably assisting Epstein’s abuse of minors by helping to recruit and groom underage victims.

After arresting her, they brought her to court and remanded in custody.

She previously denied any involvement in or knowledge of Epstein’s alleged sexual misconduct.

Furthermore, five of the six charges brought against her each carry a sentence of five years. Also, with the sixth punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Four of the charges relate to the years 1994-97 when Ms Maxwell was among Epstein’s closest associates. And, also in an “intimate relationship” with him. The other two charges are allegations of perjury in 2016.

Ghislaine Makwell is charged with conspiracies to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts. As well as, transport minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. Additionally, she is charged with the actual activities of above listed.

Moreover, she allegedly attempted to befriend them. And, she and Epstein built the friendships by taking minor victims to the cinema or shopping.

Having built a rapport, Ms Maxwell would try to normalise sexual abuse for a minor victim by discussing sexual topics. With undressing in front of the victim. Apart from that she was present when a minor victim was undressed. And was present for sex acts involving the minor victim and Epstein.

History of the case

Allegations against Epstein had dated back years before the parents of a 14-year-old girl said he had molested her in 2005.

Some of Epstein’s victims are accusing Ms Maxwell of bringing them into his circle to be sexually active by him and his friends.

Ghislaine Maxwell has denied any wrongdoing

Anyhow, Epstein died in prison on 10 August as he awaited, without the chance of bail, his trial on sex trafficking charges.

With his arrest and running a network of underage girls, Epstein went into prison last year. They determined his death as suicide.

Numerous victims in civil and criminal cases had identified Ghislaine Maxwell as the lead person who groomed them and delivered to Epstein. Legal experts say as a charged co-conspirator, Ms Maxwell is just as liable for Epstein’s crimes and faces the same potential punishment. Prosecutors probably have numerous witnesses ready to testify.

Gov. Doug Ducey shuttered all bars in the state for at least the next 30 days due to the Arizona coronavirus.

Arizona coronavirus

The moves come as Ducey acknowledged the explosion of Arizona coronavirus cases that started two weeks after his order reopening the state economy.

That two weeks coincides with the incubation period of the virus when people are exposed.

He separately banned gatherings of more than 50 people. However, churches and political rallies are exempt.

Anyhow, this could put a damper on any planned Fourth of July celebrations. He gave individual cities and towns the power to permit larger crowds, if there will be proper social distancing.

Public swimming pools will have to restrict groups in or out of the water to no more than 10. For semi-private pools at apartment complexes and condos, owners will need to post notices about the 10-person limit.

Ducey’s administration changed course, with the Department of Liquor Licenses and Control permitting any bar to open and serve the costumers.

Bars may offer pickup, delivery and drive-thru services.

He said that the objective is to slow down the Arizona coronavirus spread. Moreover, he believes the state can get infection levels back to where they were during the lifting of restrictions.

Schools in Arizona

Arizona Schools Chief Kathy Hoffman, statement said she supports the two-week delay in sending students back to class.

With new Arizona coronavirus cases every week, it is not safe for students and teachers to return to school facilities.

In addition, she said schools are safe to start distance learning or to delay the start of the academic year.

It is unclear how that affects the requirement for school to be operating for 180 days to get full state funding. That is how many days the school need to be operating as to get $200 million of additional state aid that will be made available.

Tucson’s largest school district will have more time to prepare because of the delayed start.

The additional time will allow more training for teachers to prepare for online learning and modified in-person instruction.

Schools need to have a 100% remote-learning option where they will still get full funding.

Gabriel Trujilo, TUSD Superintendent, said Tucson Unified is preparing an emergency plan to transition the entire district online if the health crisis necessitates it. He is unsure how school will receive funding if they ceased to offer in-person instruction.

The coronavirus outbreak hit us unexpectedly and brutally, viciously spreading worldwide. And, we are still wondering when can we stop wearing masks?

From that moment, the measures we are getting used to are still in effect. So, masks became a global symbol of the pandemic.

Suffice to say, the question is – When can we stop wearing masks?

“The condoms of our generation”

Brian Castrucci, the president of a public-health nonprofit – the de Beaumont Foundation, compared masks with condoms.

Nevertheless, Castrucci spent a long time working in the health sector. And, he remembers when the HIV epidemic hit the world.

At the time, condoms started to go mainstream in the U.S. Therefore, are now widely accepted and used as a necessity.

Today, the same goes for the face masks and they are “condoms of our generations” Castrucci said.

Anyhow, the answer to when can we stop wearing masks is not simple or finite. It depends on the pandemic situation.

In that light, the head of epidemiology at the University of Hong Kong’s School of Public Health, Ben Cowling, has some advice.

So, Cowling recommends wearing masks in crowded areas and public transit, even when it becomes safe to leave our homes.

Even more, Trish Greenhalgh, from the University of Oxford, advised that people should wear masks until new cases cease to arise.

Furthermore, Greenhalgh who works as a primary-care professor continued by explaining that the U.S. is far from the “no-cases-goal”.

When we can start wearing masks and other questions

Next, when can we stop wearing masks dilemma extends even further.

Therefore, the new question is what will happen if people get fed up with the masks, and what are the alternatives.

Additionally, do we need to worry that the way we communicate will change forever?

Nonetheless, David Matsumoto, a psychologist from Humintell, explained that we aren’t fully and properly communicating if we only use our eyes, and specifically, from six-feet-distance.

Particularly, full face interaction is needed to avoid misunderstanding and any clothing or protection over the face is increasing chances for it to happen.

Comparably, the face shields might be an alternative, as they allow the full-face exposure.

However, many experts agreed that face masks are more effective, so when can we stop wearing masks time can extend.

Finally, it is unclear whether and when can we stop wearing masks. But, one thing is for sure – better safe than sorry.

Let’s all respect the measures and be responsible, so that we are doing all in our power stop, or at least slow the spread.

Google is honouring LGBTQ+ rights activist Marsha Johnson, who is widely credited as one of the pioneers of the LGBTQ+ rights movement in the United States.

On June 30, 2019, Marsha P. Johnson was posthumously honored as a grand marshal of the New York City Pride March.

Biography of Marsha Johnson

She was a performer and self-identified drag queen.

Furthermore, Marsha P. Johnson was born on August 24, 1945, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Her name is Malcolm Michaels Jr.

After graduating high school in 1963, she moved to New York City’s Greenwich Village, a burgeoning cultural hub for LGBTQ+ people.

There she legally changed her name to Marsha Johnson.

Additionally, her middle initial “P” allegedly stood for her response to those who questioned her gender: Pay It No Mind.

So, Marsha Johnson, who is a beloved and charismatic fixture in the LGBTQ+ community, is credited as one of the key leaders of the 1969 Stonewall uprising. It is widely regarding as a critical turning point for the international LGBTQ+ rights movement.

Furthermore, the following year, she founded the Street Transvestite (now Transgender) Action Revolutionaries (STAR) with fellow transgender activist Sylvia Rivera.

Anyhow, STAR was the first organization in the US to be led by a trans woman of color. In addition, it was the first to open North America’s first shelter for LGBTQ+ youth.

More ever, in 2019, New York City announced plans to erect statues of Johnson and Rivera in Greenwich Village. They will be one of the world’s first monuments in honor of transgender people.

Pride month

Namely, the annual LGBTQ+ Pride Celebration takes place every year in the month of June.

So, during this month the LGBTQ+ community celebrates this fest in a number of different ways.

Moreover, across the globe, various events are during this special month. It serves as a way of recognising the influence LGBTQ+ people have had around the world.

Also, let us not forget why we choose June.

Simply speaking, the reason why it was chosen are exactly the Stonewall Riots, which took place in this month, way back in 1969.

Now, as well as being a month long celebration, Pride month is also an opportunity to peacefully protest and raise political awareness of current issues facing the community.

Therefore, parades are a prominent feature of Pride month, and there are many street parties, community events, public speaking and educational sessions.

The COVID-19 pandemic left traces in the economy in every country in the world, including the US. Therefore, is second stimulus check really needed?

Second stimulus check

Millions of Americans have lost their jobs in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, while countless more are grappling with income insecurity.

Thankfully, the CARES Act has already provided relief in the form of $1,200 stimulus payments.

On the other hand, many Americans feel one stimulus check was not enough, and are waiting for a second stimulus check.

Unfortunately though, efforts to get that money into Americans’ hands have thus far been unsuccessful.

The Democrat-proposed HEROES Act, which calls for second stimulus check, is currently on the wait in the Senate.

Additionally, considering that Republican lawmakers have been vocal in their opposition to it, it is unlikely to get votes.

Of course, that is just one proposal that is out there. Moreover, it is still possible that Americans will see another relief package introduced in the coming weeks.

President Trump indicated that he expects a generous stimulus bill to pass sometime in July. But whether that bill includes an actual stimulus payment is not sure.

Reasons for not getting a second check

Here are three reasons why a second stimulus check may not be a part of it.

The first reason is that unemployment fell.

In April, the US jobless rate hit 14,7%.

In May the numbers came to 13,3% and that data alone could drive lawmakers to oppose a second check. This is on the basis that things are improving and it therefore is not necessary.

Secondly, many states are reopening. Therefore, more and more jobs are likely to add as businesses come back to life.

Anyway, it is easy to make the argument that a second stimulus check is not necessary.

The third reason is that the relief money could be earmarked for other purposes.

There has been a lot of focus on second stimulus check ever since it became evident that the initial round was not enough.

However, some lawmakers feel that relief aid should instead center in encouraging out-of-work Americans to return to the labor force.

If people are not motivated to get back into the workforce, we will have an even more difficult time recovering from our current recession.

Furthermore, reuniting people with a steady paycheck could stimulate the economy in a very meaningful way.

Discovery of a noose hanging in Bubba Wallace ‘s garage Sunday is a heinous and disrespectful act, said the NASCAR.

Therefore, NASCAR started an investigation to determine if Bubba Wallace is a victim or a perpetrator of the disgraceful act.

What’s more, the F.B.I. and the Justice Department are also investigating the case.

Bubba Wallace fought for a confederate flag’s ban

After the event, Bubba Wallace gave a statement and expressed how the “noose-act” made him feel saddened.

Furthermore, Wallace continued to explain how further as a society we need to go when it comes to fighting racism.

Before the act, Bubba Wallace was vouching for a ban on the confederate flag. So, he received significant support from people in the racing industry.

Particularly, Bubba Wallace had called for a flag’s ban two days before NASCAR. Which declared the Confederate flag to be contrary to its values.

Nonetheless, Bubba Wallace and Richard Petty Motorsports painted Bubba’s No. 43 Chevrolet to the new black scheme, with “#BlackLivesMatter” tagline, over the rear wheels.

Even more, the hood got garnished with black and white fist clasping in a grip with a “Compassion, Love, Understanding” slogan below.

However, the noose-case is a cumbersome event for NASCAR. However, that is trying to dissociate from its segregationist’s past of fostering racism.

Odd enough, George C. Wallace, Alabama’s segregationist’s governor, was a key player in development the Talladega speedway, opened in 1969.

NASCAR tried to step away from the past

In more recent years, NASCAR was making efforts to remove itself from its grim, racist history.

What’s more, they saw a downfall in attendance and television ratings. So, they decided to go down “the welcoming path” for everyone.

In that light, NASCAR tried to provide an extensive investigation over the noose and him. However, it turned out inconclusive.

Meanwhile, F.B.I. confirmed that the noose has been in the garage from October 2019, as shown on video footage.

Therefore, he said he is relieved that the noose-case wasn’t hate-related, while NASCAR stuck to their initial response to the case.

So, the president of NASCAR, Steve Phelps, said he stands behind NASCAR actions. Also, he’ll take full responsibility in how they handled the case.

Anyhow, during NASCAR’s investigation, 1684 garage areas across 29 racetracks were revised and only 11 pull-down ropes knot-tied were found.

However, only one of those was tied in a noose – the one that was hanging in the garage of him.

Nevertheless, NASCAR will have to prove by its future actions that they really championship the racism fight, with the noose-investigations being the first step.

Quaker Oats said it would retire the name Aunt Jemima as it worked to make progress toward racial equality.

Aunt Jemima image change and its history

For decades, Quaker Oats knew that one of its major brands, Aunt Jemima, was built on racist imagery.

The company inched toward fixing the problem over the years. And, replacing the kerchief on the Aunt Jemima character’s head with a plaid headband. Which later adding pearl earrings and a lace collar.

However, it was not until Wednesday that Quaker Oats had an announcement. They will drop the Aunt Jemima name and change the packaging.

They came to the decision to remake the brand due to widespread protests against racism. And, throughout the country that lead to changes in the corporate world.

The company stated it was working to make progress toward racial equality through several initiatives.

Furthermore, the packaging changes will appear toward the end of the year, with the name change to follow.

The founders of the brand hired a former slave, Nancy Green, to portray Aunt Jemima at the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago.

In recent years, the company considered doing away with the logo. The group that was on the project tossed around many ideas.

They had to be very aware of the broader implications, and what would happen if they got it wrong.

World reaction

Companies like Nike, Twitter, Adidas and Sephora support the protests.

The streaming service HBO Max temporarily removed the 1939 film “Gone With the Wind” from its catalog. That’s because of its glorification of the antebellum South.

In addition, the food and candy giant Mars. The owner of Uncle Ben’s, said it was “evaluating all possibilities”.

Mars said it did not yet know the changes it would make or when they would go into effect. It had a responsibility to take a stand in helping to put an end to racial bias and injustices.

Moreover, the syrup brand Mrs. Butterworth’s said it was starting a complete brand and packaging review. They acknowledged that its bottle could be interpreted in a way that is wholly inconsistent with our values.

B&G Foods also said that it was initiating a review of its Cream of Wheat packaging to take steps to ensure that the brands do not inadvertently contribute to systemic racism.

Land O’Lakes had started removing stereotypical Native American imagery from many of its products before the recent protests.

The family of a missing activist in Florida made clear that the young woman, Oluwatoyin Salau, is found dead.

She has been protesting police violence as a Black Lives Matter activist.

Social media reaction and investigation of Oluwatoyin Salau ‘s death

Social media users powered the name of Oluwatoyin “Toyin” Salau to become a top trending topic. Thousands of tweets were mourning the life of the young activist.

Oluwatoyin Salau, 19, was last seen in Tallahassee on June 6 before unconfirmed social media reports of her death emerged more than a week later.

The Tallahassee police Department announced that it was investigating a double homicide. Additionally, they had made an arrest in the case. However, neither revealed the identities of the victims nor the suspect.

During the course of a follow up investigation in a missing person case, Tallahassee found two deceased people.

People on Twitter quickly pointed to the Facebook post as verification of Oluwatoyin Salau’s death. Furthermore, it was unclear who the other victim might be.

Before her disappearance, Oluwatoyin Sakau made clear that she did engage in sexual intercourse, but not with concent.

As of Monday morning, a GoFundMe account to help find Salau exceeded its goal of raising $10,000.

Her reported death would be the latest in a recent string of suspicious deaths of young Black people as the nation protests against racism and police violence.

Other death cases

A man identified as Robert Fuller is on Wednesday hanging from a tree near Palmdale City Hall in California.

The 20-year-old is found hanging with a rope around his neck and was being reported as a suicide. In contrast, the hashtag #JusticeForRobertFuller started trending on Twitter as folks suspicious of a coverup called for a deeper investigation into Fuller’s death.

Moreover, two Black transgender women are possibly dead in the other side of town.

Dominique “Rem’mie” Fells is the first woman being dead as her body is found. The second transgender woman is known as Riah Milton.

Those deaths came on the heels of the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis on Memorial Day. Floyd’s killing sparked nationwide protests over police violence and the racism that has many times been credited for such violence.

Mayor Bill de Blasio lifted the NYC curfew on Sunday morning, a day earlier than expected.

Lifting of the NYC curfew and further reforms

The 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew is going to expire Monday morning.

However, the mayor tweeted Sunday that it would end, effective immediately, after several nights of mostly peaceful protests.

De Balasio tweeted that the NYC curfew was lifting and was effective immediately. They are taking the first step to restart. Additionally, he advised people to keep safe and to look out for each other.

5 days in row there were no significant damages and the protests were peaceful.

He thanked everyone who expressed their views peacefully and who worked for change in the city. Moreover, he stated that each day the situation was better with fewer arrests.

From Monday, it is the start of phase 1, the restart of the city and its economy.

After the lifting of the NYC curfew, people should be focused on battling the COVID-19 which still has not been eradicated.

He said that he would form a task force of city government leaders, task force on racial equity and inclusion. The next 18 months are crucial. The New York city authorities have much in plan for reforms.

Protests and police brutality

Furthermore, massive protests against police brutality nationwide capped a week that began in chaos. However, it ended with largely peaceful gatherings that organizers hope will sustain their movement.

In New York City, thousands took to the streets and parks Saturday to protest the death of George Floyd and police brutality.

The NYPD took a more hands-off approach to the curfew, which had been a source of tension between officers and demonstrators since it was imposed on Monday.

They did not use more militarized tactics which do not have any place in New York City. De Balasio is pleased that the National Guard did not come to the streets.

In addition, thousands of people crossed the Brooklyn Bridge into lower Manhattan, where other groups numbering in the hundreds to thousands marched or gathered.

De Blasio is saying that only four arrests and 24 summonses are during the day.

Floyd’s death at the hands of police in Minneapolis on May 25 has galvanized the expanding movement calling for racial equality and police reform.

Ridgecrest, Southern California, was hit by 5.5 magnitude earthquake judging by the U.S. Geological Survey, Wednesday evening.

Furthermore, the USGS said tremor shook at 6:32pm, about 10 miles south of Searles Valley, while Ridgecrest is located 14 miles west from epicenter.

What’s more, Trona is located 10 miles south southwest from epicenter of the newest earthquake.

This wasn’t the first earthquake

On July 5, 2019, 7.5 magnitude earthquake ravaged through Trona and Ridgecrest, as an aftershock from 6.5 magnitude quake just a day before.

Moreover, seismologists believe that this quake is the aftershock from the abovementioned, July 5 earthquake.

Back on recent events, Wednesday’s quake consisted from 15 aftershocks during the first 30 minutes, with one of 3.2 magnitude.

Resident of Ridgecrest, Carol Wolfe, who lives there for 35 years, heard the tremor initially.

What’s more, she described it was like a UPS truck sliding down a dirt road which continued as constant shaking for 10 seconds.

Therefore, she continued with saying that latter temblors are traumatic and unpredictable, and she never knows if they are the forerunners of something bigger.

Nonetheless, residents of Coachella Valley and those across Southern California felt the earthquake, and further, jolted buildings in downtown L.A.

L.A. Mayor commented

Even more, L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti said that future activities will aim to help and support people in San Bernardino.

However, some assessments are necessary to see what sort of damage is present, Garcetti added.

Besides, Mayor Eric Garcetti announced that he will slice the police budget and invest funds into bettering the lives of communities of color.

Back on subject, skyscrapers and high-rise buildings felt it as jolt and rumbling motion, Las Vegas’ residents reported.

Nevertheless, local television broadcasts petered out when anchors informed of seeing lights sway from their studios.

Anyhow, there was many earthquakes in the Coachella Valley, for instance, recent two that occurred on May.

The first, 3.5 magnitude earthquake struck region near Anza on May 10. And, a successor of previous, May 5 earthquake with 4.9 magnitude.

The second, more destructive that measured 4.5, rampaged through southwest part of the Salton Sea, on May 12.

Overall, an average of five earthquakes measuring 5 and 6 in magnitudes arise in Nevada and California every year.

In addition, this pattern shows detailed results for the past 3 years.

Many aftershocks and tremors may likely occur in the future. However, the biggest threat is that they will probably occur without anyone expecting it.

What exactly is a Martial law?

President Donald Trump has threatened to deploy the military across the country. In order to quell the riots and unrest in the wake of the George Floyd killing.

Fear is raising over the possibility of this law in the US if the situation continues.

Martial law

Trump stated that he wants to establish an overwhelming law enforcement presence until the violance has been quelled.

There’s a chance that Insurrection Act of 1807 will invoke.

Namely, it is a federal law that governs the ability of the President of the United States to deploy military troops. However, only within the US to suppress civil disorder, insurrection and rebellion.

It can be declared in a situation where there is near-violent civil unrest or major natural disasters.

Main features involve curfews, the suspension of civil law, livil rights and habeas corpus, the application of military law or military justice to civilians.

Additionally, it involves civilians defying this law being subjected to military tribunes.

Although the legal effects are different depending on where it is, it usually involves the suspension of civil rights.

A state of martial law is usually temporary, but in theory could continue indefinitely.

Civil courts do not review the decisions of tribunals which are set up by military authorities.

Moreover, there is little knowledge on what remedies there are against potential situations. Which are involving the military abusing their position of power.

History of the law

As history teaches us, there are some occasions where Martial Law made huge changes.

They have included placing New Orleans under this law during The War of 1812 an imposing it in parts of Illinois during the Illinois Mormon War in 1843.

Chicago also was under it following the Great Chicago Fire in 1871.

Other incidents have included after the San Francisco Earthquake of 1906, and in West Virginia during the Coal Wars of 1920-21.

Minneapolis was also under martial law in 1934 due to escalating violence during the city’s general strike.

Furthermore, the Territory of Hawaii was under it from 1941 to 1944 following the attack on Pearl Harbour.

Recently , martial law was declared in Alabama in 1961 as a result of the ‘freedom riders’, peaceful activists who were challenging racial segregation in the south.

Drew Brees, who previously stated that NFL player who took a knee during National Anthem is disrespectful, apologized.

In the light of current events regarding the murder of George Floyd and mass protests it had started, NFL players wanted to show support.

Drew Brees apologized on Instagram Thursday

New Orleans Saints quarterback said he is sorry for the pain he caused. Especially, in these difficult giddying times for the U.S.

In that light, he admitted he is sensitive to the American flag and National Anthem. Since they are symbols of unity and respect.

However, he realized he made some comments which lacked empathy and were insensitive towards what “we are facing right now as a country.”

Besides, other professional football players, with the lead of Colin Kaepernick, also took a knee during the anthem, 2016.

Anyhow, Drew Brees received criticism from many people, among which LeBron and Stephen Jackson, former NBA player.

Furthermore, Jackson who knew Floyd, said that Drew Brees is a smart guy that made wrong and naïve comments at the time.

Meanwhile, Brees added in his apology that he had different intentions and that he “is sick” with the way people perceived his comments.

Even more, Drew Brees shared he will commit his time and days to fight for what is right, now that he is aware.

Brees apology went on a blast

Many black voices are angry and baffled with how Drew Brees said showed disrespect, and only an apology won’t do much.

Therefore, many suspect Drew’s honesty and call his supposed apology a “PR move” and insufficient enough.

In that light, Tobias Harris, Philadelphia 76ers forward, wrote to Brees to “take his ass” on camera and apologize.

Nonetheless, Harris continued by urging Brees to take the action forward and show through actual deeds he’s sorry and serious.

Moreover, many black football players believe this will be a hell of a season for Drew Brees. Meaning that, regarding his career, other players and fans.

Finally, there were some good words for Brees as a man, coming from Lamar Louis. Who is his teammate for a brief time in 2016.

Further, Drew and Lamar had a long intellectual talk. Where Lamar said Brees is “a smart man”. However, he showed ignorance and lack of care to fight for what’s right.

Altogether, New Orleans quarterback needs to man up and stand behind his apology the right way.

Therefore, Brees should roll his sleeves up and start working towards justice.

As more cases of the new coronavirus are diagnosed throughout the US, many people are wondering how they can prepare, what it is like to have it and how long does coronavirus last.

Symptoms

The virus can be especially risky for the elderly and immunocompromised. Therefore, it is crucial to understand how to prevent the spread of the virus and how to identify it.

The upper respiratory virus may present mildly, similar to a cold, or severely, like a really bad flu, depending on the person infected.

Furthermore, it can be difficult to tell the difference between new coronavirus symptoms and the seasonal flu. The main symptoms are cough and shortness of breath.

With a severe case of COVID-19, a person may experience weakness, lethargy, and fever for a prolonged period of time.

However, in some cases, a person might asymptomatic but could still test positive if they have been exposed to it.

Scientists discovered recently that people also lose their taste and smell once they get coronavirus.

Moreover, new evidence suggests that people diagnosed with COVID-19 are starting to develop rashes on the skin.

In contrast, having a rash does not mean you are infected as rashes can be caused by any number of physical ailments

If you are showing some of these symptoms and think you have been exposed or in contact with someone with the virus, call your doctor.

How long does coronavirus last?

If you contract the virus, symptoms may appear anywhere between two and 14 days after you contracted it. Estimates suggest COVID-19 symptoms tend to appear around five days after exposure.

If someone is under observation, it needs to pass at last 14 days so the doctors can tell if that person has coronavirus.

How long does coronavirus last depends on the severity of the case. With more mild cases people tend to get better on their own in 10 to 14 days.

In severe cases, the virus may travel to the lungs and cause pneumonia, and the symptoms may last longer.

These individuals are usually hospitalized and treated aggressively and symptomatically until symptoms resolve.

Officially clearing someone with this type of coronavirus depends on the person and the severity of the case.

Their symptoms must improve, their temperature must be normal without a fever reducer. Additionally, they must have four COVID-19 tests completed to show a person has recovered from the virus.

We all wonder how did the coronavirus start, and here’s the main story we all should know.

It all started in Wuhan, Eastern China city with over 11 million people. When the WHO’s China office first heard reports on the now-known, coronavirus.

Therefore, the discovery of the virus and the initial epidemic is mainly in China. However, the virus spread globally, like a pandemic.

Theories of how did the coronavirus start

The virus originated in Wuhan, Hubei province where 50 million people were under lockdown.

However, the quarantine is now slowly beginning to lose grip as authorities see the decrease in cases.

Furthermore, the U.S. is becoming the new epicenter of the disease and currently, there are more than 1,815,762 cases.

What’s more, in Italy the death toll is surrpasing the one in China, and that’s the reason why lock down measures are on.

In that light cinemas, theaters, gyms, and bars were shut down and all public gatherings were canceled.

Anyhow, many believe that virus came from Wuhan seafood market. The place where various wild animals are killed and sold for consumption, illegally.

So, the answer to how did the coronavirus start probably lays in the fact that it transfers from animal to human.

In that light, scientists tried to discover the animal source and solve how did the coronavirus start mystery, but it turned unsuccessful.

Moreover, virologists from Wuhan Institute for Virology delivered the paper showing. That the coronaviruses’ genetic material is 96% identical to those of coronavirus in bats.

The structure of COVID-19

Coronaviruses are a group of viruses with many strains. So, scientists know and study their ability to infect humans and animals.

How did the coronavirus start and SARS and MERS epidemics have many things in common.

Therefore, the similarities lie in the fact that all of these coronaviruses cause a respiratory illness. And, it appears as common colds or severe infections.

Nevertheless, scientists didn’t ever encounter this coronavirus type which causes COVID-19. So, the fact that it spread this much is worrying.

Evidently, different countries reacted differently to the outbreak.

Suffice to say, Italy and Spain are under restrictive lock down while South Korea developed mass drive-by testing which promises great results.

Finally, whether we know how did coronavirus start or not, the most important thing is to stay responsible and think about others.

These difficult times call for unity of people and thinking on how to stop the pandemic while also properly treating currently infected people.

That’s why – stay responsible and follow the measures, and let’s hope that these burdens will pass soon.

The recent death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man started huge protests on the street of Minneapolis, late Wednesday.

Furthermore, Floyd’s death is a murder by the hand of a police officer. All with pinning Floyd to the ground with a knee on the neck.

“No justice, no peace… I can’t breathe”

The demonstrations had started as peaceful initially, but became extremely dangerous, said Tim Walz, Minnesota Gov.

Moreover, angry protestants have been attacking third police precinct, where 4 police officer worked at, by throwing items and water bottles.

Therefore, police created a barrier outside and used tear gas to break the riots around the precinct.

Opposite from the precinct, there was an AutoZone store in flames, and protestants damaged other stores in close perimeter also.

Considering those events, Tim Walz sent Minnesota National Guard on the streets to look after demonstrations.

What’s more, people are also gathering in Denver and New York to call for justice and show disapproval regarding the death of George Floyd.

Additionally, in New York, police is arresting around 40 people. Also, some officers were injured, according to CNN.

Suffice to say, “I can’t breathe” and “No justice, no peace” became recognized outcry and a symbol of protest, you can see everywhere.

Anyhow, four officers involved in George’s Floyd murder are going to get fired as soon as possible.

Furthermore, a police officer who directly put his knee on Floyd’s neck should be charged, said Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

George Floyd was a peaceful man

According to family, George Floyd was a “gentle giant” and a very peaceful man who wouldn’t hurt anyone.

Namely, George Floyd and the officer who was kneeling on his neck, Derek Chauvin. Both worked at El Nuevo Rodeo Club.

However, it is unclear if they knew each other, said Maya Santamaria. The ex-owner of the club which became a target of outraging protestors.

Furthermore, the family had strongly believed that Derek Chauvin should face a charge for murder, and not surprisingly, that happened.

Therefore, he is getting convicted by third-degree murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd.

Further, Mayor Jacob Frey has imposed a curfew that began Friday night and will extend through the weekend.

What’s interesting, President Trump will talk with George Floyd’s family and expressed his condolences. Saying that demonstrations shouldn’t extend into anarchy.

Anyhow, George Floyd became a symbol of the fight for justice amidst police violence. Also, excessive use of force which cost many people their lives.

As we all know the pandemic of coronavirus is spreading fast worldwide. Therefore, the best thing to do is to follow the measures WHO prescribed. So, there is one important question everyone should ask – How long after exposure to get coronavirus?

However, there is a big chance that any of us can get infected and not know it.

First symptoms and how long after exposure to get coronavirus

For some infected there are no symptoms. But, for others common symptoms are fever, dry cough, sore throat, fatigue, body ache, chills.

What’s more, severe cases might encounter high temperatures, severe cough, and shortness of breath which can result in pneumonia.

Also, the incubation period of the virus is somewhere between 3 to 14 days. The first symptoms appear around the fourth or fifth day after exposure.

Additionally, the contagiousness and how long after exposure to get coronavirus are two connected parameters.

In that light, an infected person might be contagious 48 to 72 hours before the first symptoms. However, it’s mostly it is during 48 hours before.

That means that, presumably, people are the most contagious in the early stage of their illness. That’s when they are starting to experience symptoms.

However, people with no symptoms can spread the virus without anyone knowing. So, how long after exposure to get coronavirus cannot be precisely measured.

Nevertheless, those people can spread the coronavirus if they are too close to others, while coughing and sneezing.

Logically, asymptomatic persons are the biggest carriers since they aren’t self-isolating and behaving according to defined measures.

When does the contagiousness stop?

In case you’re wondering about contagiousness, well, it’s around 10 days after the first contact.

Therefore, the time between the of how long after exposure to get coronavirus period and for the contagiousness to stop is an individual thing.

That is why the experts are advising us to get 14 days of isolation. Furthermore, the best indicator that contagiousness is over is to have two nasal-throat or saliva tests 24 hours apart to show negative.

Moreover, saliva tests are more reliable, and people can do them without interaction with healthcare workers by spitting into a cup.

Additionally, that can be the basis for widespread mass-testing at home.

Anyhow, the coronavirus is pretty much contagious and the best way to avoid it is to be responsible and follow the measures.

Finally, if everyone becomes more socially responsible and starts paying more attention to personal hygiene, we will hinder the spread of this virus.

When it comes to the coronavirus symptoms, many are uncertain which they are, and people are asking is headache a coronavirus symptom?

What’s more, COVID-19 symptoms are similar to those of the flu and that is why it is hard to differentiate them.

How often is headache a coronavirus symptom?

Namely, around 14% of those infected with the coronavirus experience headache say experts from the WHO.

Furthermore, according to testimonies from social media, people are complaining about pretty intense headaches.

That’s why, the question is headache a coronavirus symptom might depend on a person.

Although it is uncommon, the headache can be painful, and it can raise suspicion in person that it has the coronavirus.

Therefore, experts say that headaches can come as a side effect of other common symptoms like fever and fatigue.

Is headache a coronavirus symptom dilemma is undoubtedly strange for a respiratory illness.

However, other underlying conditions a person might have can cause a headache and that might answer is headache a coronavirus symptom question.

One more thing, constant coughing, stuffy sinus, and nose-blowing can physically trigger a headache.

It is advised that you take enough rest and stay at home if you experience any form of headache along with other common coronavirus symptoms.

Additionally, sleep deprivation, not eating properly and dehydration can be the cause of headaches.

Drugs to ease a headache

The discomfort that headache causes is significant and there are many medicines to help ease it.

However, there are some allegations that certain medications, such as ibuprofen and cortisone can worsen the coronavirus symptoms.

Not only that these medications are helpful for a headache, but they also treat fewer as well.

Nonetheless, there is a study that analyzed 89 existing studies on SARS and MERS and existing data on the COVID-19.

Still, no evidence says that taking ibuprofen can worsen the symptoms.

A second wave of coronavirus relief checks is on the table for 2020. If the measure passes, it will put extra IRS stimulus money in your pocket.

Is there going to be a second stimulus?

There is probably going to be a second stimulus of 1,200$ given to residents to help stabilize the US economy.

This new proposal was passed last week by the Democrat-led House of Representatives and now subject to review by the Senate. However, some are concerned about the US economy and people’s ability to afford basic needs.

38.6 million Americans sought unemployment benefits in the past nine weeks. The International Monetary Fund warns of a deep global recession.

Furthermore, receiving a second stimulus has some adversaries.

Even if it succeeds, negotiations with a Republican-majority Senate are likely.

The White House has signaled it would support a second stimulus check of some sort. Meanwhile, the IRS will finish delivering the initial round of economic relief checks in June.

How much money people will get

The new proposed legislation, Heroes Act, is worth $3 trillion.

It includes a wide range of benefits, such as a second direct payment to individuals and households of up to $1,200 per family member.

The cap of $6,000 per household is higher than the first stimulus round. Additionally it would raise the allowance per dependent from $500 to $1,200, with a maximum claim of three dependents.

You would also be able to claim children 17 and older.

It proposes that group of dependants and eligible noncitizens receive retroactive payments to compensate for the first stimulus check that passed them by.

Moreover, it would carry over the current enhanced unemployment benefit of $600 per week.

The whole purpose of the second stimulus is to put money in people’s pockets who lost their jobs.

On the other hand, some are questioning this measure. Some say that it will be harder to reduce unemployment if people are unmotivated to go back to work.

It is not clear when the Senate will make a decision on the Heroes Act.

It is believed that Republicans will continue to push back against the bill and may work with The White House on their own stimulus package.

Any second stimulus package that passes both the House and the Senate would still need a signature from President Trump before it could take effect.

Still it is unknown how many people have lost their jobs due to the coronavirus.

The number of people forced out of work during the coronavirus lockdown continues to soar to historic highs.

How many people have lost their jobs due to coronavirus

The Labor Department said that another 4.4 million people claimed unemployment benefits last week around the country.

That brings the total of jobless claims in just five weeks to more than 26 million people. That is more than all the jobs added in the past 10 years since the Great Recession.

However, the pace of job losses is slowing. About 5.2 million filed during the week that ended April 11 and last week was the third consecutive week of declines.

Namely, the coronavirus crisis has suddenly ended a decade of remarkable job growth. The unemployment rate, which sank to nearly 50-year lows, is expected to soar into double digits.

The pace of job losses has the broader population worried and some expect to lose their jobs in the next 12 months.

The travel and energy sectors were the first ones to start with the reduction of the employees. Furthermore, the job cuts have increasingly spread to white-collar jobs such as lawyers, accountants and consultants.

Loans

Ian Shepherdson, chief economist at Pantheon Macroeconomics, said that the lack of precedent means a lot. Namely, they are unaware of how far this would go.

They hope that the claims would drop below one million per week by the end of May, but this possibility remains uncertain.

To stem the flow of layoffs, Congress created the $349 billion Paycheck Protection Act. This gives companies money if they retain or rehire workers.

The fund ran out of money in just two weeks and the Senate approved a bill this week to replenish it.

Additionally, as more and more workers lose jobs, many states are struggling. Meaning the trust funds used to pay unemployment benefits begin to run low.

The Wall Street Journal reported that nearly half the states said that they had seen decline in their funds.

New York, which has spent half of its fund, has asked for a $4 billion no-interest loan from the federal government. In order to cover unemployment benefits. More than a million people in the state have lost their jobs.

Massachusetts says its fund is also down by half since mid-February, and California has seen a 40% decline.

A new report from researchers at the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy lays out three scenarios of how long will the coronavirus last.

How long will coronavirus last?

Experts suggested the COVID-19 outbreak will last between 18 and 24 months. The pandemic likely will not be halted until 60% to 70% of the population is immune.

The worst scenario includes a larger wave of coronavirus infections this fall and winter. States need to prepare for this.

The pandemic may last until 2022.

Anyhow, Michael Osterholm and his colleagues examined multiple models that predict future coronavirus impacts. They included research about how well COVID-19 spreads between people, and data from past pandemics to reach their conclusions.

The coronavirus pandemic is similar to the Spanish flu pandemic. Both the influenza pandemic and COVID-19 spread through droplets when coughing or sneezing and can pass between infected people showing no symptoms.

However, experts are still not sure what to expect.

Coronavirus spreads more easily than the flu does..

Report’s authors say that they do not know how long will the coronavirus last and how to control and stop this pandemic.

Three possible scenarios

Osterholm’s group came up with three possible scenarios about what might come after this first wave of coronavirus infections ends.

In the first scenario, the first COVID-19 waves are followed by a series of repetitive, smaller waves that occur through the summer. Those waves, which come with a lower number of infections. Also, which will persist over a one- to two-year period, gradually diminishing sometime in 2021.

Moreover, where those smaller waves occur depend on what measures certain geographic areas would enforce.

The second, most likely and worst of them, is where the first wave is followed by a larger wave in the fall or winter of 2020. Additionally it will be followed by one or more smaller waves in 2021.

A second wave with more infections would require countries to reinstitute mitigation measures.

Finally, the third scenario suggests that the first wave of coronavirus infections is the only wave.

In the coming months, the COVID-19 pandemic would shift into a “slow burn” of ongoing transmission and new cases.

This possibility means that countries likely would not need to lockdown again. However, cases and deaths would continue to occur.

Each projection could be influenced by the development of a vaccine, but it is unknown how long will the coronavirus last.

The COVID-19 has struck us like nothing before in the past couple of decades, and there’s still no sign of a Coronavirus antibiotic. It has spread throughout the whole world, and each and every country is battling this microscopic enemy.

Development of the Coronavirus antibiotic

Over the past few months, scientists have been working hard on developing a coronavirus antibiotic. One of the vaccine formulas appears to have provided protection against the disease COVID-19 in six rhesus macaque monkeys.

This news gives hope for the vaccine, which is now undergoing human clinical trials.

However, there is no guarantee that this result will translate to people.

Anyhow, a group of monkeys was exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The six animals that were vaccinated had less of the virus in their lungs and airways.

The trial took place in the US, involving researchers from the US government’s National Institutes of Health (NIH) and from the University of Oxford.

Rhesus macaques have similar immune systems to humans.

In addition, the coronavirus vaccine appeared to protect the animals against developing pneumonia.

Promisingly, the animals also did not develop “immune-enhanced disease”. Fergus Walsh, a BBC medical correspondent, described it as a “theoretical risk”. That is when the vaccine triggers a worse response to a disease.

Furthermore, this response was seen in some early animal vaccine trials against SARS – another coronavirus – and proved a stumbling block in developing a vaccine for that disease.

Human trials

Even though the study has not yet been reviewed by other scientists and formally published, Prof Stephen Evans at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine said it was encouraging and of high-quality.

Meanwhile, trials in the UK on more than 1,000 human volunteers are currently taking place through the University of Oxford.

There are more than 100 experimental coronavirus vaccines currently being developed.

Dr Penny Ward, a visiting professor in pharmaceutical medicine at King’s College London, said it was “helpful” to see that the coronavirus vaccine did not cause a worse disease response in these monkeys.

Namely, the coronavirus vaccine is based on a small part of the virus’s distinctive “spike”. The idea is that by getting the body to recognize a unique part of the virus, when it is exposed to the whole thing it will know how to react, and produce the right antibodies to defend itself.

That did seem to be happening to the vaccinated macaques, which produced antibodies capable of fighting the virus.

Social media posts are spreading false information about flu shot. Namely, people who have received flu shots in the last 10 years will test positive for COVID-19.

False claims on flu shots

Experts say the novel coronavirus that causes the disease is unrelated to the flu. Therefore, that data on approved COVID-19 tests does not support the claim.

Dr Rashid Buttar said that if you got a flu shot in the past 10 years, you will test positive for COVID-19.

The claim has been circulating the social media since April.

Dr John Sanders, chief of infectious diseases at Wake Forest Baptist Health denied those claims.

Moreover, both the molecular tests and the serologic tests are validating due to research. They have demonstrated no cross-reactivity with antibodies generated from previous flu shots.

Dr. Jacco Boon agreed that the claim is false and added that the coronavirus is not related to the influenza virus.

North Carolina Medical Board reprimanded Dr Rashid Buttar multiple times. Additionally, he received a warning letter from the US Food and Drug Administration for peddling unapproved, misbranded and adulterated drugs.

Among Buttar’s disputed treatments was intravenous administration of hydrogen peroxide for cancer patients, who later died.

Moreover, he charged exorbitant fees for his ineffectual therapies.

Studies on flu shot

In multiple videos he stated that studies clearly show that if you have had a flu shot, you are going to test positive for COVID-19.

In another clip, Buttar cites two studies as evidence for the claim. The first is a study on cats. Which took place years before the coronavirus actually appeared.

Testing technology has improved significantly since the study was conducted. Furthermore, the false positives were the result of vaccine contamination from the cell culture itself, not interaction between viruses.

The second study found an “increased risk of virologically-confirmed non-influenza infections” for recipients of trivalent flu shots – vaccines that contain three types of influenza virus.

He said that the majority of the non-influenza respiratory virus detections were rhinoviruses and coxsackie/echoviruses, not coronaviruses.

In the that light, every normal citizen will not fear of being positive for COVID-19 test.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the US coronavirus death toll passed 80,000. The most reported deaths of any country in the world.

Coronavirus death toll in states and reopening

In New York coronavirus infection and hospitalization rates are decreasing.

Governor Andrew Cuomo said parts of New York will be able to begin a phased reopening as soon as the state’s shutdown order expires.

Furthermore, regions can reopen in phases if they hit seven specific criteria. That includes 14-day declines in hospitalizations and deaths, hospital bed availability, testing capacity and contact tracing. New York has hit just four out of seven metrics.

It has been the epicentre of America’s coronavirus outbreak and has had the highest coronavirus death toll of all but a few countries.

Cuomo emphasized that the reopening will be done “intelligently”. Some states are reopening despite not hitting the guidelines to do so.

States began setting reopening plans in late April with governors in South Carolina and Georgia leading the way. Additionally, by this week, nearly every state has begun relaxing restrictions.

Moreover, the public remains torn: A poll showed nearly two-thirds of Americans were concerned about their state opening too early. However, thousands of people across the country protested in recent weeks for their right to go back to work.

An expert said that it will take at least two to three weeks before states may begin seeing increased infections.

New illness

In New York, health officials are now looking at a mysterious illness. This illness is showing up in children they believe may be linked to the virus.

The condition left dozens of New York children hospitalized. Meaning, many of whom tested positive for the virus or had its antibodies.

Many of the children had fever and symptoms similar to toxic shock syndrome and Kawasaki disease. In rare cases, it can lead to deadly limitations in blood flow.

Brett Giroir, a pediatric ICU doctor, said that a syndrome like this one has been seen in a novel coronavirus before.

He said they know what the basic treatment is. However, this is a bit different than what they normally see and it is quite frightening.

Similar cases have been reported internationally, including in the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy. Though the coronavirus most severely affects elderly people with pre-existing conditions, the children’s cases suggest that no age group is immune

The coronavirus pandemic has affected the intentional economy and disrupted our lives in the beginning of 2020. It shut down all traveling.

Start of traveling

Experts agreed that it would take around 18 to 24 months for the industry to begin returning to regular levels.

Meanwhile, travel industry will undergo some big changes: new security checks to screen travelers who are sick, vacation near home, large hospitality chains will rule.

Furthermore, airlines like Delta are considering issuing “immunity passports” to people who can prove they have already been infected.

Professor Ashish Jha notes that even if people recovered and have antibodies, it is possible they could be infected again.

Temperature checks at airport could also become the norm, but these might not catch cases where the person is asymptomatic.

Traveling will be a difficult experience. Airlines are starting to require passengers and crew to wear masks, and middle seats are left open.

Many airlines are still canceling international flights through the summer and into fall.

People of high risk will stay at home until there is a vaccine or treatment available.

Robert Reich said people will not feel safe traveling in crowded airplanes, until death rate decreases, or until there is a vaccine.

Staycationers and large chains

Josh Collins said traveling to tropical destinations might be over. However, people might look for local options, like camping or road trips.

Many bookings and trips are being cancelled. On the other hand, Jos is considering a new market- staycationers. He is thinking about marketing hotels luxurious places to spend the night after a hike in a nearby national park.

Outdoor trip might be particularly appealing after people have been cooped up in their homes for months.

This strategy has the best shot of success for many hoteliers. Traveling will resume in a slow, careful and highly phased manner.

It will kick off with local outings as the economy reopens.

Anyway, many smaller businesses will shut down, leaving behind larger chains that have more runway and can still attract people.

Collins said many of his clients have plans to bring visitors back in to their hotels and restaurants, but with social distancing. However, not every vendor will be able to sustain that kind of reduced capacity for long.

On the positive side it means more deals. Businesses will probably do more virtual meetings. That means airlines and hotels will cater to leisure travelers and may offer discounts.
