CIF Southern Section Playoff Pairing | Baseball – Softball. The CIF-Southern Section playoff pairings for baseball and softball will be released beginning at today. Nearly two dozen Central Coast high school baseball and softball teams learned their postseason fate on Monday afternoon. The CIF Southern Section announced its playoff pairings for the postseason that opens on Tuesday with wildcard games. Wildcard games are essentially play-in games, where the winner moves on to Thursday’s first round, while the loser’s season ends.
CIF Southern Section Playoff Pairing will be a wild ride through the playoffs until the championships the first weekend of June, and it all starts today.
