Here’s How To Send Tweets Automatically To Facebook Fan Pages
** Update from RSS Graffiti: Rousso from the development team at RSS Graffiti let me know that “RSS Graffiti now scans feeds every 4-5 minutes (as opposed to 30-60 minutes I mention in this post). We don’t plan to keep it so fast for ever but we will definitely try to keep it checking all feeds every 10 minutes or less.”
I’ve written several different articles on how to automatically send Twitter updates to your Facebook Fan Page – you can find them in my Facebook Fan Page Series. Most of these “how to’s” explain somewhat complicated methods of customizing the Twitter RSS feed and other integration strategies. So I felt like I needed to find just a simple, non-complicated, non “customized” way to automatically send Twitter updates to Facebook Fan Pages, and I believe I have found it.
RSS Graffiti just released a new update to their Facebook app that is specifically designed to help you automatically send your Twitter updates to your Facebook Fan Page. I’ve written previous articles on making this happen, but the processes were long, cumbersome, and utilized other applications (like Yahoo Pipes) that had a lot of problems.
RSS Graffiti’s new update however 100% eliminates these problems, and is now the premier application for automatically sending your Twitter updates to your Facebook Fan Page. And you can customize the Twitter updates to do things like strip your Twitter username from the front of your updates, include or exclude @ replies and retweets.
Facebook Fan Pages allow a certain level of customization. Customization within the pages themselves if most easily achieved with the FMBL (Facebook Markup Language) app. FMBL allows for most HTML customization, but does not allow advanced javascript.
Beside integrating custom FBML, one of the best customization elements with Facebook Fan Pages is setting a custom landing tab.

This articles describes a process that is still being tested – leave comments about your experience with it.
*** UPDATE 2/10/2010 ***
RSS Graffiti just updated their Facebook application so that you can customize the Twitter RSS feed directly from the RSS Graffiti app. This is a powerful update because you no longer need to deal with Yahoo Pipes to customize your Twitter RSS feed – RSS Graffiti now has the options that you need like stripping the Twitter username from the front of the Twitter updates, including or excluding retweets and @ replies.
The Facebook forums are full of people who are begging to receive email notifications when someone adds a comment on their Facebook Fan Page. And it’s unbelievable to me that Facebook hasn’t added this feature. But oh well… since Facebook doesn’t do it – and we all need – we are left to figuring out a way to make it happen on our own!
So here’s how to get email notifications of comments added to your Facebook Fan Page:
A Facebook Fan Page for your business, product, or service is like having a social hour, or a cocktail party, where all the guests are those who voluntarily showed up on your behalf. This means, a Facebook Fan Page can be an extremely valuable resource for growing your business and building your brand. So today I’m going to show an easy way to create a Facebook Fan Page!
Here’s how to create a Facebook Fan Page in 4 easy steps:
** NOTE: You must have 25 fans currently in order to create your own custom URL / username for your Facebook Fan Page.
On June 12th, Facebook opened up the ability for users to create their own usernames. As Facebook put in their blog posting:
choosing a username is optional and will give you a distinct Web address for your profile. It will not change the name that appears on your profile, in search or elsewhere on the site.
So even though the flood gates opened up on June 12th – about 3 months ago – that doesn’t mean you can’t still create your own unique Facebook username for your domain (URL).
This is really simple, and something I’ve written about before. However, it’s a question that comes up a lot and rightly so I suppose.
People are wanting to make others an admin to their Facebook Fan Page – that’s understandable – and need to know how to do it! That’s why I’m writing this quick “How To”. It’s going to be quick because… well… making someone an admin is simple.
Here’s how to make somene an “Admin” on your Facebook Fan Page:
** NOTE: To add only one admin to your Facebook Fan Page, you can read this article here.
I’ve been asked this question several times from clients:
“How do you add multiple admins (page administrators) to Facebook Fan Pages?”
I’m going to walk you through the very simple process of adding multiple admins to your Facebook Fan Page. There is no limit on the number of admins your page can have; however, at the end of my steps, I’m going to give you a couple things to consider when it comes to admins on Facebook Fan Pages.
Here’s how to add multiple admins to your Facebook Fan Pages:
A lot of people as me to explain exactly how “admins” work on a Facebook Fan Page. In fact, it’s not uncommon for the same people to ask me more than once to explain it again, “only slower this time, please…”
Which I’m always perfectly happy and patient to oblige because I understand that Facebook Fan Page admin functionality can be a bit confusing.
First, let me explain what a Facebook Fan Page Admin is!
I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately from people who want to specify which tab visitors land on in their Facebook Fan Page. And understanbly so, because this is a very cool feature for Facebook Fan Pages, and allows some element of customization and “character” to your Pages.
So here it goes – a quick and easy “HOW TO” for setting a custom landing tab for your Facebook Fan Page:
